This is one area I wish I had spent more time in when I was in Rome. This is a very cool place with lots of restaurants and shots. If you’re looking for good food and night life this is it!

If you search at many guides you'll find that you should visit all the mainstream monuments like Colloseum and Pantheon. I totally recommend Trastevere because it's more quiet and friendly as a place. Moreover there are great cafes and places to buy tasteful ice cream.

We stayed in this area & I have to say it was great! Hundreds of bars & restaurants full of life in the evenings. The area is a bit tired & crumbling, but that kind of adds to the charm! I think it feels like genuine Italy, rater than overly 'touristy' like the centre of Rome. We felt safe walking around day and night.. Beware though.... the traffic is CRAZY! you think you're walking down an alley, but it's actually a road!!!

Must visit neighbourhood with all the fun little streets with good eateries. Graffiti on the walls throughout the area. There is also a beautiful church in the neighbourhood.
