After reading some of the reviews on here We were a bit sceptical, but on arriving We can honestly say the staff were very friendly, the reception spotlessly clean.
We were on the first floor and with the window ajar it was quite noisy, simple solution shut the the window.
The room was very clean, maybe a bit small but nothing to moan about, maybe a lick of varnish to the tables but nothing extreme in our opinion.
In our opinion the only real fault was the bath, we didn’t use it as it had a few deep scratches which put us off.
We had to make sure we had the shower head pointing towards the window wall, as the first night we had it pointing the other way and soaked the floor (sorry) we did clean it up.
The breakfast had a very good choice and plenty of it.
Roof terrace does have an amazing view.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

This hotel is located at a very good location - walking distance to many most famous attractions in Rome. But the good things about it stops right there - rooms very small and basic, staff not very helpful nor offers any extra help other than what's bare minimum, restaurant is expensive ...

Room Tip: You need to get a "deluxe" room at a minimum.

Could literally see the Vatican from our window and for 4 nights the price couldn’t be beat but you are not paying for luxury. I️ did not have warm water in my shower any of the days of my trip and could hear the toilet flushing in the next room over, the doors closing in the hallway, and every single noise outside on the street at any given minute. The hotel front desk is available 24 hours a day which was great considering we checked in at 11pm and checked out at 3am. The Vatican is a short 7 minute walk and even quicker walk to the Tiber River. Truly a beautiful city and as long as you are looking at your hotel as just being a safe place to sleep and shower than this hotel’s price and location is perfect for you!

Hmmm what can I say. Recently returned from this hotel which was a surprise trip for my birthday. Was collected from airport by complementary transfer which was really handy but my goodness obviously no speed limits in Italy! Anyway arrived at Atlante Star and thought reception looked a little dated but was clean. The lift which took us to our room was slow, small and very creaky - my daughter preferred to use the stairs as she was convinced the lift would breakdown. If I thought that was bad, the shock of the room nearly sent me over the edge. The room was tiny for 3 people and oh my goodness the decor - I swear Noah is missing some bits from his Ark. The bathroom was extremely dated (was clean though with fresh towels every day). I've never seen a bath so small and anyone looking for a power shower - forget it - if you are lucky you'll get a very soft shower which can switch from roasting hot to freezing cold in the blink of an eye.

The bed was firm but after a busy day sightseeing I managed to sleep quite well although woke a few times due to outside noise.

Breakfast was actually very good. Plenty of choice and staff were very friendly. View at breakfast from Les Etoiles was amazing - In fact the view of St. Peter's and the proximity to transportation is this hotel's only saving grace.

Definitely needs a re-vamp of rooms and bathrooms. We had actually booked a superior room - dear love anyone who booked a standard one.

Ok.. Great view of the Vatican.. not much else going for it. Very impressive entrance hall but that's where it ended. We wanted to leave as soon as we got in the room. Sockets hanging off the wall, dodgy wallpaper, sink wouldn't drain, couldn't sit on toilet as b'day in front if it, heating not working, wifi only worked in hallway, hot water took 10 minutes to arrive and turned off at 10pm, took you life in your hands using the lift, despite 2 attempts to have a meal it didn't happen, first time they closed the restaurant, second they again closed it after giving us menus and charging 5 euros for a coke, so we had to buy food from the shop over the road. Roof garden is lovely but again no waiter or food to be seen... well we spotted him having a smoke round the side. Maria the maid was outstanding and bless her was the saving grace. Very expensive for what we got but given the view full our window diluted the comedy of bad service, over price and complacency.
