Prebooked a visit to the colosseum online with tour guide and skip the line. When we approached the entry line, they guards there asked us to move to the ticket line. After we explained to them that we already booked the tickets, they still insisted on going to the ticket line. There was a huge queuehad to wait for 1 hour to go to the ticket office, at which the ticket guy told us that we shouldnt be here as we already had paid for the tickets. It was already 1.5 hours late and we missed the scheduled tour by 1 hour. Getting inside it was just 15 mins, and we totally missed our tour. There was no refund given to us, just offered us in exchange a video and audio guide , which was extremely useful. The dissapointing thing is that we lost 1.5 hours waiting in queues and also we missed the tour guide time slot, which we paid (wasnt cheap) . I blame the whole organizers/information people who were not informed enough and were misleading the tourists(we werent the only ones, at leadt two groups i met had the same issues)
Colosseum experience is awesome, but could have been better if all the mussunderstandings were avoided
