Owner description: Located in the heart of Rome, this vibrant and elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings augmented by the colorful flowers that adorn the Spanish Steps. The elegant steps by Francesco de Sanctis (1723-1726) consist of twelve flights of varying width, which descend to the scenic Franciscan Church of Trinita dei Monti.

We walked here as our first stop on our trip, very underwhelming, essentially an average set of steps with an average fountain. An average rating.

You cannot visit Rome without seeing the Spanish steps. Recommend arriving at the top and walk down the steps.

You must visit this area and the church up the hill if you go to Rome - it’s really great, lovely views of Rome and of the steps upwards.

It was really a pity that we had rain. The steps are nice, the view above is fantastic. You need good shoes to do all the steps. It is close to the metroline station.

Another triumph of architecture and this looks amazing. I just want to warn you, there are the usual amount of selfie stick sellers to manoeuvre past and if like the day we went it rains, the steps are treacherous. Views from the top amazing and looking up you just think. Italian job!!!
Massive Macdonald's next to this, if your kids are missing "normal food!!" Ha ha
