We had a week in Rome with a city break package (2 rooms) through BA and the Hotel Regno was part of the package - what a good move for us as this hotel was so central to everything, we just walked to most of the attractions (except the Vatican which seemed a bit of a trek).

The hotel was really comfortable and the staff was very helpful and considerate, it was a breakfast only deal but that suited us as we were out and about during the day.

I had previously sent a request by e-mail a couple of months before going in requesting the penthouse at the top of the hotel but it was not available during our stay however, the staff were aware of the request and allocated us both first floor balcony rooms next to each other overlooking the Via De Corsa where we could relax (with wine or beer in hand) and watch Rome in motion.

Breakfast at the Hotel was OK and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced however, the location of the Hotel was the bonus and we seriously enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel Regno is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get the balcony rooms at the front of the Hotel - great views of the street where it all happens

First room not so good, high floor, not a good layout and facing a wall. Asked to change to either a new room or pay for an upgrade. Moved to a room at same price range but on 1st floor over looking Via del Corso and absolutely loved it. Much bigger and had an opening window so that you could hear all the city noises if you wished. Would go back to this Hotel. % mins from the Trevi and so close to many well know attractions. Loved it. The staff were very obliging..

This hotel is in the most central location, just around the corner from Trevi Fountain and local streets, eateries and landmarks. The staff here are very helpful and wonderful, Giuseppe, Simone, Gianni and Paulo at the front desk were more than helpful with any questions we had and provided very useful information together with a laugh and a smile. The cleaning staff were excellent as were all the other staff one being Daniele and the restaurant staff. I highly recommend Hotel Regno and will stay here on my next visit to Rome.

Room Tip: Best views and location and fantastic staff

We have stayed at Hotel Regno twice, and will stay there again on our next visit. We had a room on the top floor with a wonderful terrace. We could see the Victor Emmanuel monument and all of the activity on the Via dei Corso. The staff directed us to a nearby restaurant with a great caccio de pepe.

The rooms are small, but so are many others in the city. The air conditioning was great as it was in the high 90s. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor with a terrace.

Managed to get a bargain deal for my family during the month of August. Service is very basic, no frills included. On making two requests one for a room with either balcony or terrace was given a simple no and as to whether there are any condiments for breakfast was also told no. Beware if you have booked bed an breakfast, certain items for example: cappuccino and americano coffee are 2€ each. So far not overly impressed with standards given, the room is basic and looks nothing like the pictures you will see on the hotel website. Rather disappointing however was a good deal and expect to be spending most of our time out and about around the city.
