A friend recommended this hotel for its location which is on the main shopping street and a few minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain.
We booked a superior room with a balcony and ours overlooked one of the side streets. The room looked tired (nothing like any of the website photos!) and in need of redecoration but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and although the ceiling had peeling paint above the bath, it was cleaned thoroughly every day but there was a faint smell of sewerage at times.
The patio doors to the balcony were soundproofed so we didn't hear the street noise when they were closed but the same couldn't be said for the door to the room as we were woken early by chatter coming up from the stairway outside the room and by the room next to us.
The room had air conditioning but this appeared to have a life of its own, signalled by an electric buzzing noise before it kicked in when prompted, I assume, by the thermostat.
Breakfast was continental style, help yourself buffet. Apart from tea/coffee etc, toast and scrambled egg were the only 'hot' items available every day. Fresh fruit, cereals, cold meat, cheese, croissants and pastries were also available.
So, to sum up, we really liked the location which meant we could walk everywhere to see the main sights we wanted (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and the Vatican) but we found the room to be disappointing when compared to their website photos and the breakfast was nothing to get enthusiastic about.

I went to Rome with my family in August and we stayed at hotel regno. The hotel was in a great location, central to rome, also had restaurants and transport connections close to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and polite and everything was provided for us. The buffet breakfast was lovely and we all enjoyed it. A lovely hotel to stay in within a great location.

This hotel is in the perfect location. If you walk 2 minutes in either direction then you are in front of one of the “must see” sights in Rome.

Upon arrival we had a warm welcome and we also had a bottle of Proseco in the room for Gregs birthday - nice touch!

The room was small but perfect for our needs.

Breakfast was nice but the only hot food available was eggs and they were sometimes a bit dubious - otherwise couldn’t fault it.

Reasonably priced and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Thanks everyone at Regno.

The location of the hotel is amazing. We had a double room with terrace and view of Via del Corso. It’s very convenient to stay in this hotel as all sites are just short walk away. Even Vatican is accessible via walking.
We recommend to don’t book breakfast as there is dozens of small shops serving coffee and sandwiches around - they are open from 6am! You don’t get this taste of Rome in the hotel’s restaurant.
The room was small but if you visit Rome you don’t spend a lot of time in the hotel.
