We booked 8 nights at the Villa della Cisterna "Apartment" (Marzia is the host) through AIRBNB.
Please be advised of the following.

1st- the place is not an apartment it is a basement.
2nd- we are 24h no sleeping because the "apartment" is right on the street with no corridor or any protection from outside with no acoustic insulation so all the noise from the street goes right into where we sleep.
3rd- a lot of drunk people stopped right on the door (where we sleep) talking, screaming, drinking ... which we were also worried about our safety.
4th- we could not even go to the bathroom and do number 2 because the water pressure in the toilet seat is not strong enough to flush it.
5th- the drain in the shower box does not comport the amount of water used during the shower which would lead to leaking and we certain would have a problem.
6th- there is no ventilation or proper window in this place. It is very claustrophobic.
7th-the mattresses in the sofa bed and bed is not acceptable. Mainly on the sofa bed it is impossible to sleep. So thin and old that after one night I had a huge shoulder pain. We rented a place where we should be able to sleep. We were not asking for a 5 star hotel we were just asking for a minimum... Be able to sleep. This place is not cheap to offer what is being offered.
8th - the description says internet free. When you arrive Marcia's assistant gives you an rental agreement saying to only use intent for navigation and not downloading or watching any video or FaceTime etc. we are far from home so we can not use Skype or FaceTime to speak to our family?

We spent only 12 hours in this apartment and we moved out. We cancelled the reservation. We had to find a new place on the last minute and spent a day of our holiday moving out and obviously much more money.

Marzia said she could not assist in changing the mattress and she had only one place which was far for us to move in however, we had to pay extra to her.

At the end, we moved to a great apartment at Camp Di Fiori which we booked through booking.com.

We stayed at Appartamento Rione di Ponte in July this summer and the apartment was better than expected. It will be my first go to apartment the next time we are in Rome. The location of this clean apartment is great for exploring Rome, it's right in the center of the city with most of the important sights in walking distance. This is a big apartment, it has a large bedroom with a queen bed and a large living room with a pull out couch, which was very comfortable. There were four of us staying in the apartment, two adults, and 17 and 20 daughters, and we had enough room. This last July was very hot and the AC in the apartment was a lifesaver! The wifi worked great and even extended to the little coffee shop under the apartment on the street. There is a large bathroom with a shower and a full European style galley kitchen with a refrigerator freezer. There is also a washing machine, but we were not smart enough to figure out how it worked :-) We booked the stay directly with Marzia, who we found to be very polite and helpful. In addition to the apartment Marzia also arranged for our transfer from the airport and then to the train station.

we stayed at the apartment that is close to the Pantheon. as a couple who was out sight-seeing all day and was at the apartment only for naps and showers i can say that it was all we needed: a nice place to stay, at the ultimate location. there was WIFI and air conditioning.
i didn't like that she charged us extra 45euro for late checking-out (no one was gonna come after us and when we talked before she didn't mentioned the money) and also the cleaning wasn't good enough.
conclusion- it is worth the price, and it has an excellent location, just don't expect a 5 star hotel :)

The apartment is on the ground floor and so close to the square which makes it an excellent choice.
There are so many pavement restaurants to choose from within a minutes walk.
The entertainment on the square was fantastic with different performers every night.
The apartment is very comfortable with all you need for your stay in Rome. It is also close to public transport with the "H" bus going between Termini train station and stopping about a 5 minute walk away.

This is a great apartment. We stayed three night in September 2014. Marzia was very helpful via email whilst we were booking in. Signora Aurica was equally as helpful when we checked in. The location is superb. Even with children of 5 and 8 years of age, we were able to walk to all of the sites. Being downstairs, it is quiet enough. Contrary to other reviews, we had zero problems with air-conditioning nor the wi-fi, both of which worked perfectly. A great place!
