A church located near the Pantheon and an obelisk on top of an elephant.

It was a little dark inside, but it was not too busy. It has a nice stained glass windows and a Michelangelo statue.

The church is a bit dark due to renovations that are in progress. A few things have changed, no more picture taking, but you can still see the Michelangelo statue up close with very little between you and one of his lesser known works of art.

A short walk from the Pantheon, this is just a lovely church, with hardly any visitors. A few kind of eerie accents and alcoves, with lovely statues. Plus, the elephant obelisk is right in the piazza outside!

I really wanted to visit this church having seen the photos online. But was very disappointed because it's very dark inside and hard to see the artwork. There are lights around the chapels inside, but you have to put money into a machine to activate them. I'm supriside they weren't selling indulgences.

I remembered the ceiling in this church from my first visit to Rome over 20 years ago. This was my first time back and I wasn't disappointed. Despite the outside being covered in scaffolding you can still go in and see the loveliness of the dark blue ceiling scattered with gold starts. It really is beautiful and worth a visit just for a few minutes.
