I booked here for a conference in May. On the first afternoon, the room was warm, about 75, and I asked about a/c. The desk manager told me it was not switched on yet. He said I could open the window and be sure to turn off the heat. As others have noticed, this is a noisy area.
Two days later, it reached 27 C/ 80 F in Rome and my room that afternoon was 25.4 C / 78 F. No a/c and it couldn't be turned on. He offered me a "terrace room" that was 26 C / 79 F. The terrace was a lively square. (Photos of both thermostats included.) Saturday morning, when I did not have work, I woke up very early (and warm) because of the open window and no a/c.
I booked this hotel because in part it listed air conditioning. I think they should refund me part or all of the cost for false advertising. Do not stay here.More
