Beautiful hotel. Spacious and very clean rooms. Appears to be very new and modern. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable.Everything about my stay truly felt Amazing.
The upstairs patio bar was amazing with great views.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. After a full day of activities, it was great to come back to a clean and comfortable hotel, enjoy a drink on the patio then have a very relaxing sleep. Definitely recommend this hotel and I would definitely return.

The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the main train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The family room was compact but adequate, and spotlessly clean. There wasn't very much space in the bathroom to put all of our toiletries so we had to leave most things on the floor.
The rooftop terrace is breathtaking! It was the main reason we chose this hotel. You can enjoy a drink in the evening or a buffet breakfast in the morning.
The hotel is a great base to explore Rome.

Our four night stay at the Independent was lovely. The location is perfect, as it sits just across the street from the Termini which allows you to catch a bus or the metro to anywhere in the city. We stayed in a superior double which was nice and clean and spacious and provided all of the amenities you could want. The room had a small balcony which overlooked the courtyard. Not the greatest view but it was nice to step outside and just enjoy the air.

The hotel provided a breakfast buffet which was more than enough to fill you up each day before heading out to enjoy Rome. Once out of the hotel, there are a number of places to eat and a number of small shops to grab items for the room.

The front desk staff went above and beyond with providing directions, suggesting places to eat and even making reservations. One day there was a knock at the door and it was the hotel staff with a cake for my girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday. They took it upon themselves to do this since neither one of us had mentioned it.

I would definitely return to the Independent my next time in Rome.

Myself , my wife and her parents stayed in 2 rooms at the independent hotel for 3 nights in July before catching a cruise from civitivecchia.
I had done quite a bit of research looking for a hotel at a decent price with good reviews and in a quiet but fairly central location.
I finally settled on the independent and I am happy to say it met all of my expectations!
On arrival they gave us bottles of water each while processing our details - a small but welcome touch in the 35 degree heat of Rome. We arrived early but they had our rooms ready ( email contact was made a few days before asking about arrival time ) . We had one room upgraded free of charge to a junior suite.
The hotel itself is small but very well appointed. As has been previously mentioned the lift is small but what's the hurry - we are on holidays. It never really inconvenienced us at all.
The staff were all excellent - very polite and helpful and happy to accommodate all reasonable requests.
The rooms were very clean and well furnished and of a good size. Beds were comfortable . Not a lot of hanging space in cupboard and not much in the way of drawer space but we were only there for 3 days so no problem for us. We were on the 4 th floor at the front and had no issues at all with road noise.
The highlight of this hotel is the rooftop terrace. Beautiful for breakfast in the morning and equally good for a few drinks at night. We spent every evening after a hard day in the Rome heat relaxing here.
Breakfast was of a good standard. Eggs and bacon were available and the normal continental offering. Coffee was very good.
The hotel is right beside the termini station. While we never used this station it has great links to all around Rome and the surrounding areas. A taxi to any major attraction costs about €10 - the hotel will happily call you a taxi - don't let any unscrupulous taxi drivers try to charge you more - they should have their meter on.
On a final note we plan to return to Rome in the future and will definitely use this hotel - I highly recommend it.

Our stay was incredible - when we arrived, we were able to check in early. Not only that, but because the staff knew we were on our honeymoon they gave us an upgrade to the biggest suite in the hotel and left us a bottle of wine in our room as a gift. It was a perfect start to our trip. The staff were all very friendly, our room was very clean, and the location was perfect being close to the train station as we were only there for one night and were arriving and departing via train.
