“Weekend in Rome”

I've recently returned from my first trip to Rome. Staying at Vacanze Romaine. The apartment was a perfect choice for us and our grown up kids. There are 2 double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room . Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. There's also a cute kitchen area, which we used just for breakfast. Metalla the owner was very quick to answer questions prior to leaving the uk and met us at the apartment to show us around. She also arranged for our taxi back to the airport.
The apartment is in a quiet area of Trastavere, but there are bars and restaurants nearby and a small supermarket with a great deli and bakery. It's about 15 minutes walk into the centre of Rome. Although there is a tram nearby.
One point about the apartment is that's it's on the 4th floor and there is no lift. It wasn't a problem for us. We saw as a calorie burning exercise!
I would definitely stay there again and would recommend Vacanze Romaine .

“Comfort, Convenience and a Great Host”

Metella was accommodating of our schedule for check-in and out, which was helpful for people like us, who didn't know Rome at all before this trip and who were planning to travel to other cities after this stay. The apartment is situated above a small courtyard that has three great cafes, which was so perfect, especially for morning caffe and croissant. (Our favorite was the one with the little black dog, who we dubbed The Mayor!) Trastevere neighborhood is situated within easy walking distance to Rome sight seeing, and has a huge variety of restaurants.

We were so comfortable in the apartment. It doesn't have a large common area, but it suited us fine as we spent all waking hours out and about, and when we did gather there it was cozy. The bedrooms were super comfortable, each with its own bathroom. The linens were nice and there were amenities like plenty of tp, hand soap, hair dryers, etc.

I and my three other travel companions loved this apartment and we all agreed that if we return to Rome, we want to stay there again! Thank you, Metella!

Liked best: The two private bedrooms with en suite baths. (There were four of us)
Liked least: The sitting room was small, but that really wasn't a problem since we didn't hang out there much.

“Great Apartment, Great Location”

The apartment although small was big enough for us. It has three rooms. Two are bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a living room, which has a couch that can be turned into a bed. It was clean and comfortable. There is a small stove top and refrigerator basically in the hallway, although we ate every meal out.

The apartment is a five to ten minute walk to a tourist area with dozens of great restaurants. You can walk, or take a short taxi ride, to the Vatican or Colosseum.

The owners were prompt in their communication and were waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived.

It is important to know that the apartment is on the fourth floor in a building with no elevator.
