The apartment was well equipped with everything needed for a short stay and was tastefully and eclectically decorated with modern and antique furnishings.
The best thing was the location: easy to get to from the airport via public transport, easy to reach all the main sights of Rome by foot and right in the heart of the lively restaurant and bar area of Trastevere. Right next door to the apartment was a yoga studio, and along from that a Michelin starred restaurant. There were dozens of excellent bars, cafes, restaurants and independent little shops all within about a two minute walk through the maze of surrounding (mainly) traffic-free, narrow, cobbled streets.
I was met on arrival at the flat with the keys, a helpful chat introducing the area and the sights of Rome, plus some snacks and refreshments.
I'd recommend bringing ear-plugs as although there is no traffic noise at night, there are plenty of people out in the surrounding streets until late, enjoying the night-life.
All in all though, I had a fabulous time in Rome and this apartment really felt like a little home from home while I was there.
