Excellent concierge and front desk staff, very helpful with making tourism suggestions and transportation arrangements. Location was very handy, close enough to venues, yet off the beaten path. Restaurant was great, both the complimentary breakfast buffet and dinner options suited our needs. We utilized and appreciated the in-house eating after doing walking tours all day!

Dear Barb,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Hotel Romanico Palace with the community of TripAdvisor.

What to say: well, first of all we are very grateful for your kind words and we are are pleased to see that you found our Hotel really good. We are indeed very glad that you spent a really lovely time in the eternal city with us.

The location is in fact one of our prides given our proximity to the station of the Metro A and B (respectively stops Barberini and Termini) but also to its proximity to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Villa Borghese. Services and sights of Rome within walking distance from us.

Furthermore, the quality and services offered together with the professionalism of the staff gives that added value to your stay making it an unforgettable experience in the Eternal City.

For that reason thank you also for the very nice words about our Staff, we always try to help you in any way we can to make the stay of all our guests special with a very helpful and professional Staff during all your stay (our Francesca is just an example of it).

Then again I thank you for the kind words about our breakfast on our Roof Top Garden "Fulvius". It is the highlight of the stay as it reincarnates the spirit of our Hotel: a mix of emotions and flavors that resist the inexorable langsyne. I also assure you that breakfast is one of our pride, the variety of our always first-class food and the view of which you can enjoy is something beautiful.

Same speech goes for our restaurant for the dinner and we’re sure to pass your comments regarding this service to whom it may concern.

We’re so glad that you had a memorable stay with us and thank you very much for recommending us to others. We’re pretty sure also that this review will help a lot people looking for a Hotel..

Best regards and thank you again,

Gianluca

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Hotel Romanico Palace****.

Our position is indeed strategically important because you can truly reach almost all of the main attractions by walking ; there is plenty to see in the narrow streets of the Eternal City during the day.
We’re very close to Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Villa Borghese and also to a lot of restaurants typically “romans” very good and not touristic at all.

We’re really glad that you enjoyed so much our Staff and services and rest assured that I’ll pass the message for you. We’re always glad when our efforts are worth something and your happiness during your stay in Rome is our happiness. We try our best also to suggest all the places that you may like while in Rome and as a matter of fact it seems to have worked with you.
Mission accomplished.

Finally our breakfast on the Roof Top Garden is undoubtedly our icing on the cake:
eating all sorts of first quality food on our terrace with a breathtaking view of Rome is something magical to start your day. What more can you ask when in Rome?

With that being said I’m thanking you again from behalf everyone here at Hotel Romanico Palace and we’re hoping to see you again in the closest future so you can enjoy once again our Staff and our services.

Best regards,

Gianluca

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a coach tour. The room was attractively furnished in an antique style, but with no storage and little hanging space. We recognise this is fairly typical for older hotels in Europe, so it came as no surprise. The dining area was located on the roof terrace, and provided a scenic view of the surrounding area. Breakfast on the first morning was excellent, with a good selection of dishes, but on the following morning, chaos reigned as guests were forced to scramble to find seating and gain access to the breakfast dishes, as the hotel was attempting to cater for three coach loads of tourists in an area which was totally inadequate for the numbers. A couple of lucky guests managed to acquire their breakfast dishes and eat seated at the bar. Late-comers wandered around the restaurant, desperately seeking a spare seat.
We opted to dine in the restaurant on one of the evenings, and were quite happy with the meal presented, but we were a bit disappointed with the action of the staff member attending the bar who charged my husband €5 for a small quantity of ice provided in a plastic glass so that we could enjoy a G&T in our room one evening. This left us with a less than attractive impression of the hotel’s business practice, when a service which is normally provided free of charge, has an excessive price tag attached to it.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your recent visit to the Romanico Palace Hotel, I hope that you had a very pleasant journey home.

Let’s start from what you think it’s been a plus of your stay. Regarding this a special mention to our staff: we are pleased to receive positive positive comments regarding this matter, we can only succeed in that we do through a high level of courtesy creating the right relationship between the guest and the staff who are always ready to solve any problem of yours.

Also we’re indeed very well located because our position is strategically important: You can reach main attractions by walking in every hour of the day without worry ( we are located in a diplomatic and safe area ), but there is also the subway, that in a few minutes it leads you near to the majesty of the Colosseum or Vatican City.

I’m sorry about the overcharge on the ice, we will inquire this internally and we’ll sort it out but it was probably the room service cost and not the ice. When you ask for a member of the Staff to come up to your room for any kind food or drinks there’s an extra charge basically in every facility in the world.

I was equally disappointed to read of your experience at breakfast, as here at Romanico we are very proud of our high standards and quality of food. Please be assured that I have discussed your comments with my Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef and we will monitor this area more closely in order for us to be better prepared for busy service times in future.

We very much value all the feedback on Trip Advisor and use these comments to improve the standards and services that we offer to our guests.
I still hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back sometime in the future to restore your faith in us.

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Romanico Palace Hotel and if there is ever anything that we can do for you please let us know.

Best regards,

Gianluca

Rooms are small, but very nice. I know this a new trend in hotel rooms, but I really don't like the open window into the bathroom from the bedroom. No possibility of modesty or privacy.

Also the hotel would not give my spouse and I a second key. This was a real inconvenience for us, as we needed to keep separate schedules for part of our time here.

I won't stay here again.

Dear Dan,

Thank you for taking your time to share a review with us!

Not only positive comments but also negative ones are necessary for us in order to improve our daily service whose priority is always looking after our guests’ needs.

We respect your thinking about our style, but we regret to inform you that the hotel occupies an historical building of the eighteen century. The baroque architecture of our e property was entrusted to one of the greatest Italian artists, I'm sorry that his aesthetic criteria do not agree with yours.

Taste is subjective and that we understand, the largest number of compliments we receive the uniqueness and style of our house, we have an identity and we are proud of that we are not "one of the many".

The fact that we give you only one key card is for the restriction of our key machine, if we create a double key, the first doesn’t work , however there is a porter 24h that is at your complete disposal to open the door of your room.

DIRECT CONTACT it is the best way to avoid unpleasant surprises, "intermediaries" sites have poor clarity . I invite you to read the good reviews, 90% of these are derived from customers who have booked directly with us. Our booking office is open 24h to provide a customize assistance.

We have different room categories which vary significantly in size and layout and I am very confident we have a room that will tick both the space and value box for all of our guests.

We are very disappointed that in this instance we failed to exceed your expectations, and apologise for any confusion caused by tourist laws. Please may we assure you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
Alessandro

Our room faced the busy and noisy street. I liked the hotel in general but there wasn't any air conditioning and it was quite warm and humid. Windows could be opened and so they were. Very, very noisy with constant banging all night long because they were emptying the metal trash bins. Breakfast was the best. Would reserve again if they had rooms away from all the noise or air conditioning. The hotel offered ear plugs?

Dear Colleen,

Thank you for posting a review about your stay at Hotel Romanico Palace even though we are not quite satisfied with the result.

First of all though I would like to thank you for your comment about the breakfast which is One of our key points. It is served daily on our Roof Top Garden Fulvius, that’s a jewel for sure; enjoy a breath-taking views of the Capital’s historic center and admire the charms of the city’s monuments while you start the day with a delicious breakfast buffet: a large selection of croissants and cakes, salty foods, organic foods, as well as your choice of fresh seasonal fruit.

Regarding the trouble that you encountered during the stay of course we’re in the center of Rome so that’s why you can hear some noises coming from the streets and that’s also why the rooms are equipped with double glazed windows in order to make your stay more relaxing as possible. As for the Staff making noises we’ll investigate that with whom it may concern.

Our apologies for the problem with the room, that usually it is with the right temperature, but just to avoid any kind of problem (hot or cold) we installed air conditioners that are manually adjustable from room. Maybe you didn’t see it but I can assure you that EVERY room has the air conditioners.

Finally thank you for the suggestion regarding the ear plugs, we certainly pay attention to the needs of our clients and I’m sure to pass on this message in order to see if this can be arranged next time you come here!

Best regards,

Gianluca
