A very small area of just a few streets which comprises everything the quintessence of Bologna: charming little bars and shops with plentiful of fresh and tasty Italian food and other things to discover. An experience for all senses both during the day and especially also at night when the locals enjoy their Aperitivo outside on the narrow streets

I loved exploring the narrow streets of this area of Bologna. There are lots of restaurants and food stands.

These streets are a beautiful and charming place to walk around. You can see the lovely produce on offer and stop for some drinks and snacks. As it's slightly more touristy here, I recommend stopping for a drink and a meat/cheese board, but saving your pasta dish experience for elsewhere. (When we first came to the city last year we grabbed a quick lunch at one of the pasta places here to later discover they were just microwaving all their food)

Strolling around the streets in the quadrilatero, oldest historical urban and fun, don't miss an aperitivo with local products and see the fresh market beautifully displayed in the old style architecture.
