This is an old building, where the rooms at the ground level are the best, with high ceiling and giving you the sensation of more space; it is also good that you don't need to carry your luggage on the stairs, as you will have to do for the rest of the rooms at higher floors. No elevator. The room was clean but not spotless.
The air conditioning is not working - it is more a ventilator than a cooling system; it is set-up from the reception desk and it is clear they are trying to save the money and just make the fan working but not cooling. The breakfast is very poor (one small glass of juice from a tetra-pack, one croissant, a coffee..) and the breakfast room cramped and very modest, and so is the entire location. Do not expect any thrills, or real Italian touch. It is just an average place, where you can sleep one night or two, but for a longer stay, this is not the place. If you search for a more elegant place, this is not the place. For our short (budget) stay, it was ok. All in all, a convenient place to sleep, but NOT more than that.
The location is good, not very far from the Piazza Nettuno with all the little streets.
Boccadasse is a very nice place, small but beautiful and it is really worth to pay a visit.More
