Marta met us outside the property on arrival and showed us around the apartment, and gave us all of the information that we would need for our stay, very helpful. The apartment was lovely, had everything we needed for our stay and the balcony was fantastic with the upper balcony good for sunbathing. The local supermarket was literally a few minutes walk from the apartment. All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday and Marta was extremely helpful.
We stayed for a week in the House of the Traveller and really liked the apartment. We usually stay in a hotel, but found the experience of staying in an apartment much more convenient. Bianchi met us when we arrived, and gave us all the information we needed about the accommodation and Genoa. We knew that if there were any problems we could contact her. There were no problems but she texted us during the week to make sure everything was OK. The apartment is about a 5 minute walk away from the old town. Genoa is very interesting, with a large historic centre. It is full of restaurants and bars, as well as some beautiful old buildings. The apartment is also very convenient for the main train station, which was a 10 minute walk away. We used the trains a lot, to go to the Cinque Terre and other stops along the coast. For food shopping, there is a supermarket just at the bottom of the street. What we liked most about the apartment was the large terrace. It is for the sole use of guests, and has both sunny and shaded parts to it. It was very nice at the end of the day to be able sit out there and relax in the sunshine. We always ate out in the evening, but if you were eating in it would be very pleasant to eat on the terrace.
