we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. it has old world charm, really helpful staff and the food was excellent. the hotel location is very good with views of the lake and gardens. the staff are what make this hotel a lovely choice.

The room is way out of date. The bed wes Terrible end old so is the tv...from the 70'
The ac control panel is not readable so you cant set the temp!
They charge extra for aggs in breakfast!! Never hard of such thing.
100 euro for one day is way to much

In Europe Extra charge for eggs at breakfast is normal for 3 stars Hotel and as well as 100,00 € double for single use rate during high season.

Pratical hotel near Carciano port (right in front of Isola Bella) but okd-fashioned and needing some renovation (average age of the clients the weekend we stayed: 60 years old).
Breakfast OK but nothing remarkable, wifi working, helpful staff. There is a public swimming pool next to the hotel and as it is partner with the Astoria hotel (4*, more in Stresa city center but also old-fashioned, 10-15min on foot), you can access their pool. If you want to go out, you better choose a hotel near Stresa port, for us we were there for the Islands so it was perfect. Be just careful when looking at the boats schedules, you need to come back to Carciano and not Stresa port!

Having recently spent a 7 day holiday at the hotel we found the hotel very nice indeed a good room overlooking the garden and just a small lake view very well kept hotel and near to the boat station for trips to the other parts of the lake dinners were good and nicely served at the table breakfast was nondescript with stale bread throughout our stay I have a egg allergy but the chef took good care of my meals however some small drawbacks no safe..no fridge 1950 television and very little storage space. We travelled with inghams can't fault their service.Ryanair of course had their usual Booking complications with their usual book a seat or else !

Room Tip: Corner rooms have a large balcony :lake view are not worth buying:

This hotel is perfectly positioned in Stresa, close to the ferry departures for the islands and the walk along the full length of the waterfront which is absolutely delightful.
It is set back from any main roads and has well maintained lawns and gardens for guests to relax and enjoy.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful at all times, the breakfast buffet was extensive, the dining room very spacious with garden views.
The room we had was large with a full sized bathroom and corner balcony with a water view. Only thing it would have been good to have a mini bar, but the other aspects made this seem unimportant. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Recommend a corner room with balcony.
