I have stayed several times at the Hotel Mantegna. Each time I am struck by the friendly and helpful staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the perfect location with parking. The price is reasonable too. Certainly not a luxury hotel and has a feel of times past - but it is not 'worn' just stylistically from an earlier era. Cosy, friendly, well priced and good location. Only complaint is that finding it with my GPS device, which seemed easy enough, ended by my getting a very expensive ticket for driving in an historic zone closed to traffic. I did get lost so can't blame hotel, just a warning to fellow travelers that there are cameras out there to catch you while trying to navigate complex traffic patterns and laws in Italy. I also got one in Ravenna.... both with no warning and arriving several weeks after I arrived home. so beware and you really can't trust the GPS devices like I thought.More
