Average rooms, poor breakfast

We stayed at NYX on the way back home from a holiday at Lake Como and before catching a flight from Malpensa. We chose the hotel as it is very close to the station. To get into the city centre we used taxis which cost about €12 each way. The rooms at NYX are basic but value for money. However I was really disappointed by the breakfast - the breakfast room was very busy and staff struggled to clear tables which doesn’t really give the impression of a COVID-safe environment. The selection at breakfast was poor, there wasn’t any fresh fruit for example. The bar was also lacking atmosphere and was too expensive for what it was.

Average hotel, poor breakfast and expensive parking

The hotel is okay, nice and clean with good views of the central station, but a little bit small. The parking was somewhere else and they park your car for you, we payed 45 € for a night, not cheap. Breakfast “buffet” they serve you, you can’t take whatever you want and it was quite poor and not variety. Staff was nice and friendly, that’s the only positive thing I would say.

Dear V620XHandreae, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us.
As far as the parking place, unfortunately our Hotel doesn't have one. We work with an external company and the price is 35 euro per 24 hours (for a standard car). It is not mandatory, it is just an option for our Guests as there are many other options in the area. All of our Guests are informed about the rate of parking so we are a bit surprised about your complaint.
Breakfast is limited due to Covid restrictions, we look forward to coming back to a normal breakfast as soon as possible.
As of now we are not allowed to have a buffet breakfast just like any other Hotel.

One night in Milan

Great room very clean and a good shower, comfy bed with sup
er nice sheets, quiet and easy for train station central. Good value, breakfast let down by cold eggs and bacon, otherwise super!
Vietnamese restaurant across road for reasonable price beer.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Great

Perfect location, speedy service, polite staff and clean rooms. The only annoyance I had was at checkout they told me i owed money for the extra water bottles i had ordered. At check in I was told i can order water anytime but there was zero mention of a charge, so maybe it should be clarified at check in to avoid confusion.

Excellent hotel but dodgy location

We stopped at the next hotel in milan for a short break of 2 nights before we moved onto our next location.

First of all I’d like to mention that we cannot fault the hotel at all but the location brings it down im afraid.
Rooms were very clean and tidy, spacious for what we needed and great.
Cannot comment on the food as we didn’t eat in the hotel.

The drinks were very expensive here with a spirit and coke around 10euros each so think the drink pricing needs looking at.

One of the best features in the hotel was a free photo booth, this gave us some great photos for our memories.

With picked the hotel with the location being close to the train station, unfortunately it was quite dodgy at night what I can only describe as people on spice knocking about, one person asleep on a grate outside...

I know that the hotel can’t help this problem and is up to the Italian police etc but really let it down and because of this, I don’t think we will be returning.

Dear RyanH1994, we would like to thank you for the nice words about our Hotel; we are glad that you appreciated our services and staff. We regret you couldn't enjoy our location. Since we are near by the Central Station of a big city, there is a lot of people around the area, vast majority of them being just travelers or locals working in the district. We are sorry if you encountered any problems with some other people at night. Due to Covid-19 it has been a quiet august and we think that could be another reason to explain all you have politely described.
