We used this place 3 times during our recent trip to Cervinia. Whilst we didn't eat a meal here, we did stop in for beers and snacks which were very good.

Staff are very friendly and the bar snacks flowed out of the kitchen with every round of drinks.

We ordered steak with bacon. Steak was like kebab (on the thick stick) and becon was overroasted. Totally bitter. Need to stretch fumes to eat, but meat was very dry (in menu in comes like steak with blood). Waiter say that he can do nothing with it. From 5 dishes 3 was overroasted and bitter. Not recommend to taste the grill. Cant say about other dishes.

Ymeltrob has changed dramatically since last year. It's also difficult to review as the restaurant and bar aren't really divided from a reviewing perspective

The bar used to be packed, overcrowded and lively. It has had a huge extension which means it has lost some of that vivacity, especially at the front as it is now huge windows and a real draft every time the door is opened.

Having said that if you can snag a good seat, either in the back or middle section you can easily while away the hours. They hadn't quite got the service right in the new area, we waited too long too many times and had to get up and seek out service a number of times.

However, the mainstay of service behind the bar is still excellent and therefore cocktails were outstanding! You get a little antipasti food each time you order a drink but nothing to write home about. Again a bit of a shame as in the past this is hat it was known for...but I guess too uneconomic. You can order pizza in the bar area from the restaurant...I think this is all they let you order from here. But at around €10 the same price as a cocktail that makes fro great value!

I'm sure they'll iron out their kinks having extended and it'll be back to excellent very soon.

I can't comment on the restaurant side on this occasion.

Had good hope to have a nice dinner with mine and two other families. The place looks good at the surface with an appealing bar at the front of the restaurant. Our hostess who greeted us at the door gave a very stressful impression. The eating area is divided in a few bigger rooms which all get very crowded. It was warm and very loud with all the people. The service was consistently very slow and inattentive. Our two waiters had to be reminded multiple times. One of our plates didn't arrive although we reminded them a handful of times. Apparently the plate was served to another table. It finally arrived after about 25 mins when everyone else already finished their food. Me and another one in our company ordered a hamburger which came with a dry bread and some green salad. It didn't taste much was so dry that I had to ask for ketchup and mayo. Kind of a let down for a hamburger that costs 25€. The pizzas tasted quite odd compared to La Grotta's which we had the other day.
The restaurant had the nerve to charge for the dish that they misplaced. It was removed from the bill upon our request.
My advise is to go somewhere else and have dinner when you're in Cervinia.

Thank calmeby
