We found the Majestic Hotel Toscanelli to be excellent. The room was very nice and the staff were excellent. The location could not be better. There are excellent restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for a lovely stay .
It was a pleasure to be in this old and beautiful hotel .
The rooms were lovely and spacious, soft linens and majestic beds , huge bathroom and efficient and courteous staff .
The best thing of course was the location ... walk to everything locally within 5 minutes... Will definitely return with a loved one

Stayed one night. Room was small, shower really a tight fit. Staff I would describe as indifferent, not unfriendly but not especially approachable. Even though the college students were on holiday break, it seems the outside street was like an echo chamber. You hear everything. If you can get a price break by skipping the breakfast, take it. The breakfast is pretty lame. Only reason I could say to stay here is for the location.

Room tip: ask for a quiet room

The hotel benefits from being centrally positioned in the old ghetto part of town. However it does not measure up to 4 stars, the room we had was small, stuffed with unwanted furniture and the bathroom is so small that you have to put your feet in the shower tray when on the toilet.
Wifi is fast enough for streaming, but the television doesn’t have any working foreign channels.
The staff aren’t very helpful and relatively unfriendly.

It’s no wonder that it was relatively cheap for a 4 star

This hotel is a very hold style with all the modern features (TV, wifi, ...). A car is however not among those modern features supported by the hotel. Located in the very heart of the old city, this hotel is perfect if you are a pedestrian looking for a place close a vast range of restaurants, shops, ... but a nightmare if you want to arrive right at the entrance with your car. The quality of the wifi could be improved.
