This large church was build in XIV century as a funerary chapel. Beautiful frescoes are inside, 4 of them painted by Titian.

Worth to visit and admire artwork in the Basilica if you come to Padua. Come early if you want to see the chapel of relics. A long waiting queue when we were here on 13 June. If by any chance, come for the fest of St Anthony on 13 June or family feast on 28 June - 2 July, firework on Wed and Sat.

A really beautiful place inside and out. The statues were made by Donatello. It's a lovely place to see and quietly meditate. One of the most beautiful places we visited in Padova.

The Basilica is quite impressive from the outside as it is so big, but the interior is breathtaking. The decoration, artworks and relics of St. Anthony are quite something. We didn't really know anything about the Basilica, which is the burial place of St. Anthony, so to find is so richly decorated was a surprise and a good one. It's an absolute must when visiting Padua.
