One of the more interesting churches in Northern Italy and dedicated to St Anthony of Padua who is buried here.Try and avoid getting tied up in the conducted tours if you can. Some of the tour parties can make seeing some of the things somewhat difficult

The number one place to visit in Padua whether you are religious or not. Free entry but it would definitely be worth a visit even if there was a ticket to pay. Make sure you also visit the chiostro located next to the basilica.

Beautiful church and the priest was very kind. Even they don't let my dog go inside, the priest came out to bless him.

While we are not Catholic, but Methodists. You had to feel the presence of God. I try to ignore the glorification of man and view this beautiful sanctuary as a demonstration of God's power and love. Definitely worth a visit.

Walked up from the Prato del Valle, the first things you see are the very impressive domes and spires of the church, dedicated to St Anthony (patron saint of lost things), all access is free, however, there are restrictions, no short shorts or skirts, no taking photo, with a camera, phone or tablet, no food, no pets, all very sensible and you can see why, the place is beautiful.
It's of souvenir shops around outside to but religious stuff and candles if that's your thing, great coffee shops just across the street.

Thank Nigel G
