“Beautiful apartment centrally located in Siestiere San Marco”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We rented the 3 apartments together, a total of 22 beds including the baby cot, for a reunion of extended family and close friends. Both the apartment and the location were ideal. It is located about halfway between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge on a quiet street, 300 meters or less to the vaporetto station.
The largest of the apartments (Gabriele) had a dining space large enough for us all to sit for dinner using the dining room table supplemented by the kitchen table. The apartments were neat and clean, with plenty of clean towels and sheets. Two bathrooms per apartment, with an extra half bath in Angelo Gabriele (the top floor). Two washing machines (one on the ground floor and another on the third) were very nice to have since we were there for 2 weeks.
The air conditioning and all appliances were in good working order. Plenty of books on the shelves relating to life in Venice.
It was exactly as pictured and described in the ad, and we had a wonderful time.

“Check for warm water BEFORE the property manager leaves you for the first time”
Reviewed 25 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Pretty apartment. Great location. No warm or hot water for 3 of our 4 day stay. We arrived June 8 at about 8 pm. Discovered no warm or hot water when we returned from dinner. Emailed the property manager at 12:30 am and followed with a phone call in the morning. The issue was not resolved until the afternoon of June 11. We left on June 12. No discount was offered for the inconvenience, they say, because they gave us use of another apartment's shower two floors down. But when that apartment was rented on June 11, I guess, they had no choice but to fix the problem. The questions are: Is it really fixed? Are you going to chance it?

Management Response
30 Jun 2016
Hello Kinsman Family!

Thank you for your review here on TripAdvisor! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the charming Angelo Gabriele and its central location. It really is a gem, especially with the serene view of the little canal. Unfortunately you experienced a technical malfunction during your stay and we are sorry this happened. Because we understand that lack of hot water serves as a major inconvenience, we were happy to offer an selection of alternative apartments for the duration of your stay. We arranged for our most trusted technicians to come as soon as they were able to and they were able to resolve the issue at hand. Thank you for taking the time to write to us! We hope you enjoyed your onward trip to Rome!

“Great location, spacious and beautiful apartment.”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Villa Angelo Gabriele is a bright, beautiful, and surprisingly spacious apartment in the heart of Venice. It is perfect for 2 couples traveling together, or for 3 couples if one couple is willing to sleep on a trundle bed. It sits at the confluence of two canals, so you can have a glass of wine on the balcony and watch the world go by (in boats, of course). It is in the heart of Venice, just 5 minutes' walk to Piazza San Marco, but is surprisingly quiet because it is on two small canals. Everything we needed was supplied -- towels, shampoo, hairdryers, and a full kitchen. The two king-size beds were very comfortable. There is a wonderful gourmet shop just around the corner where we picked up antipasto, wine, cheese, and other essentials for the apartment. Thomas from Truly Venice was a great host, meeting us at the vaporetto stop, helping with our luggage, making dinner reservations for us, and sitting with us to go over the Venice map he had brought with his restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations, and directions to the nearby gourmet market. He even bought our vaporetto tickets for our departure, since we didn't know where to go for them. Make sure that you heed Thomas's recommendations for things to see off the San Marco beaten path. The church of Santa Maria Glorioso is spectacular and the newly-opened Jewish ghetto and museum is beautiful and haunting. Angelo Gabriele and Truly Venice made our Venice trip Truly Amazing.

“Breath-taking views and perfect location”
Reviewed 23 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

From the moment I booked this apartment, my experience was nothing short from amazing. There was a large group of family going to Italy for the holidays and working with Truly Venice was the best decision we made. The apartments were beautiful and exactly as they appeared in the pictures. The location was perfect, close enough to everything but not smack dab in the middle of chaos. We are already thinking about booking our next trip and using Truly Venice.
