We love Venice, and have in the past always stayed in a hotel. This time round we took our sons (19 and 21) with and wanted a bit more space as a family. I have always looked with wonder and longing at quiet little court yards when passing an open gate in the narrow bustling streets of Venice. Well this was the first time I actually crossed the threshold into one of those little court yards with garden and staircase thrown in! What a beautiful setting, old world charm, quiet, excellent air-conditioning and on top of that our own kitchenette (we love shopping for own food and wine) and dining table for whole family. Serviced daily, we never had it better. Five minutes walk from bus stops (but not too close!), 10 min from station and 5 min from excellent supermarket- it cannot be better positioned. I will never stay anywhere else again. Congratulations to Michele, you made our visit to your beautiful city a very special one.

Room Tip: Book early and you could get a view of Gaffaro Canal

As you walk through the entrance door for the first time you are amazed at the sight of the lovely old courtyard. This is even better in the evening when it is candle lit.

There is then quite a climb up the old staircase but well worth it (even with very tired feet from walking all day) . We stayed for 4 nights. In the Canaletto suite. Spacious rooms with all that you need but no canal view. Seperate living area, kitchen, bedroon and bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub. This suite is right off the reception area.

Michele and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful hosts.

The location is great. A lovely quiet setting that is only 10 mins at the most away from both the bus and railway stations, and in a perfect position to walk and explore in any direction to the 6 districts. There are some pleasant eating places nearby and also a good bakery/ pastry shop a couple of minutes away which is great for getting fresh bread and croisaints if you are doing your own breakfast. Staff at the bakery are not the friendliest but their stuff is very tasty! There are so many places to visit from here as a base and you just have to "get lost" in Venice and go where the mood takes you. We must have walked every part and it was always a joy to come "home" to the palace...

The only slight negatives were that we had a Trip Advisor free upgrade voucher for here and when we arrived there was no upgrade available ... as we were told they were full. Although Michele did offer for us to change room later on another day but we were only there for 4 nights so did not want the upheaval of having to move again. Also there was a "private" room off our bathroom which the staff/maids must have had some storage and they had to ask one day to come through our room to get a travel cot. Not a problem really but we did have do not disturb on the door at that time!

Overall would highly recommend this place and would stay again if we returned to Venice

I've stayed in the Tiepolo room at Palazzo Odoni for 2 nights, with my parents (in their early 70s). We've enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back there. Michele has been very helpful and friendly, and the room had plenty of space for 3 people. Thanks for everything!

Loved it!! Just stayed at the Residence yesterday. I loved the location - a short walk from the train station and i appreciated being away from San Marco. I loved the room - we didn't have a canal view but the room itself was great - a jacuzzi tub, kitchen, separate bedroom, and living room.

What a view and what a location!! Perfecto! Just minutes from the bus station, but entrance to the most beautiful canals and historical views of Venice! We stayed in the large Caravaggio Room and had a separate kitchen, bath and pull out couches to sleep more if needed. The courtyard will take your breath away- Candle-lit entrance at night takes you back to historical Venice. A beautiful open stairway over 4-500 years old leads up to the entrance to the Caravaggio Room overlooking the canal and bridges. We were able to see the fireworks from San Marco shooting up in the air behind the bell tower. I am an avid photographer and this was perfect. All my pictures turned out great (you cannot take a bad picture in Venice!). My wife and I celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary and will cherish the memories forever. Both Emma and Michael were very caring and considerate hosts and made the visit warm and really took care of anything needed. It was also very safe as the outside door to the courtyard was locked at all times. Again I say "Belissima! Beautiful and Lovely! We hope to return again soon!
