Our visit here is truly far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived in Venice we were lost, maps are poor at best but you soon learn that's just the way it is, take it in stride, relax and have a good time. We called the B&B after trying several times to find their location even though it's centrally located near the bus station and the train station, not their fault by any means, they can't add a sign to the outside of their building since it's a B&B it's technically a house and.... added to being so overwhelmed with the beauty and the excitement of actually being in Venice we were just flat lost. Anyway to make a long story short Massimiliano one of the owners came and found us and personally escorted us to their inn...turns out we were only a few doors away, pretty funny actually. And that began our fabulous adventure at a truly lovely, warm and gorgeous B&B.
Please review the included pictures to get real idea of just how beautiful our suite was. Yes we paid for a suite and it was worth the cost. First class accommodations from the Murano chandeliers and sconce's to the marble bathroom, it was first class in our eyes.
We read many times that hotel rooms in Italy are small and ill appointed so walking through the 17th century door into our VERY large suite was truly overwhelming, simply put we loved it and hated to leave after our three day stay.
Breakfast was great, yogurt, crescents, various pastries, prosciutto, cereal, coffee (Italian of course, strong and the BEST!) sorry..... there are no ham and eggs, no egg McMuffin, if you want that kind of stuff, don't leave the US after all!
Great air conditioning, the bed was large and very comfortable, a little on the firm side which is exactly what we like and to our surprise it was very quiet all night until about 7am when the canal outside our window came to life, it is after all the "road" if you will and thats how goods get delivered etc....so get up and get going on your tours, you shouldn't be sleeping any later anyway!
Another of our hosts Stefano Vio is one truly lovely guy, so polite, so caring about their guests a true pro and has the experience to prove it treated us like royalty, what a wonderful guy.
You can probably pay less and definitely you can pay more but we cannot imagine any better Euro value than this fabulous B&B and if you don't like it there, sorry, just don't know what's wrong with you...maybe your one of those people who leaves an unfair and negative review because a lightbulb was burned out, seriously what some people can complain about is just unreal. The folks that run this place are absolutely invested in taking care of you like your family...as Massimiliano said more than once "if you're happy, we're happy" guess what he MEANS it, stay here you'll not regret it. We would return in a heartbeat without one second of thought! And yes we are gushing in our review...this place deserves it!
You'll soon learn that service in Venice is a little sketchy sometimes, you should know/learn quickly that if you want service you will need to ask...well push a little for it, it's just how's it done in this tourist driven place but NOT at this dreamy place, they can't do enough for you EVER....

Room Tip: Tolentini Suite, very large suite, right up front, four windows that open to a direct view of the canal in front of the B&B and just a short walk away from the Gran Canal, bus station and train station.

Ca dei Polo is much more than a hotel, it is just like home away from home. The location of the hotel is very near the bus station, train station and boat rides very convenient for those with big luggage. It is easy to find if you will only consult a map before going and ofcourse the locals are usually friendly to guide you to the spot. It a place where I guarantee your satisfaction considering you are in Venice . The room we occupied is just the right size for a couple with a table, chairs, cabinet and ofcourse a TV set but who would like to watch TV anyway when there is lot better to see in Venice. The room is charming with their Morano lights and floral decorated ceiling. But what impressed me with this hotel is having the concern of all your needs from bathrobes, slippers, toiletries like bath soap, shampoo, bath gel, lotion, cotton, cotton buds and even foot lotion are little extras that you won't usually find in other B&Bs and even 3 star hotels. There is even a tray of fresh fruits in your table, eating utensils and glasses for your needs. And most of all the room is always kept clean. The breakfast is superbly served by Sonia from coffee, fresh fruits, bread, eggs, ham, cheese, cereals and others. And their roof top is captivating too where you can enjoy the early morning sun and even have the fresh breeze of the night. I tell you that what you would like in Venice is to have a quiet, fresh and friendly atmosphere after a long day in a crowded San Marco area and to have a good night rest. For food it won't be a problem too because there are restaurants, cafes and even a coop grocery just walking distance from the hotel. I am not wrong choosing to stay in Ca dei Polo and I highly recommend it too. Thanks to you guys, to Steffano, Massimilliano and Sonia for a very memorable and pleasant stay in Venice. Will surely choose to stay here again.

I cannot think of one negative thing to say about Ca' Dei Polo. It was perfect. My room was spotless, spacious, and quiet. The breakfast dining area and the roof terrace were amazing. And the staff, especially Stephano, were absolutely outstanding. Stephano truly cares a great deal about Ca dei Polo and the Polo family, and Ca dei Polo is lucky to have such a committed employee.

If I ever return to venice, I will definitely stay at Ca dei Polo.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any of these rooms.
