We stayed as a family of 3 in a triple room, in May 2018. And were extremely happy with the location of the hotel and the friendly staff.
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, it’s a wonderful place to return to after the crowded, buzzing streets of Venice . The great thing is that is so close to where all the action at San Marco square ... just like a 10-15 minute walk away and yet far away from all the noise and crowds . Most everything is walking distance away from here, and the boat stations are also nearby should you need to take water transport out.
What made our Venice experience even better was the staff at the hotel. All of them were polite and patient.
Christian in particular was very helpful. Told us how to get around in the best possible manner , and made it so easy for us to experience the sights and sounds of this wonderful city.
In fact while checking out he even help us find our way to the correct train station , figuring the easiest way to get there, finding out boat timings and connecting train timings , without which we would have been at a loss .
What we liked about the room was it was designed to accommodate a family of three, with a single bed in a separate room, so that there was enough space for all of us without getting in each other’s way. And the room was clean, and well maintained.
The breakfast area was wonderful, outside in the garden and the buffet was adequate to start our day off right!
So should I head back to Venice , Hotel Agli Alboretti is where I will return to for sure.

My daughter & I stayed here for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely choose this hotel if we were to come back to Venice. It's just 1 stop past San Marco on the water bus [Actv]. Great breakfast is included, pastry, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee & juice. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is 10 stops from the Airport on the waterbus -- so it takes about 1 1/2 hrs (90 minutes) to get to the hotel. The best part is that you walk straight off the waterbus, walk straight ahead for 5 minutes on flat, even pavement, and the hotel is on your right. I saw so many people elsewhere struggling with luggage up and down stairs.

The waterbus starts at 4:30 a.m. BUT we got there at 4:20 a.m. as we had an early flight and couldn't risk missing the boat -- and the waterbus arrived at 4:25! If we arrived at 4:30 we would have missed it --- and that early in the morning it runs hourly.

Room Tip: Any room is fine, it's a small hotel.

Agli Alboretti is a classic small hotel in the Dordosuro section of Venice ,near the Accademia, Venice's amazing museum of art. The amenities are new, and the restaurant next door, which is part of the hotel is good. The staff, and in particular Sylvia , who is the desk manager are friendly and helpful, which is remarkable in a town which sees millions of tourists every year.

Our room had a terrace overlooking the backyards of the houses and gardens . It was a wonderful experience. The second floor has a library and sitting area. The fourth floor has a terrace open to all the guests with tables for sipping wine or an espresso.

When it was time for us to leave early in them roing , the staff varanged for a taxi all the way to Mestre ,and helped us get our bags on to the taxi at 3:00 in the morning. A very special place.

I would recommend this hotel as it definitely offers value for money.
Our room was small and classical but extremely clean. The continental breakfast was delicious, freshly baked rolls, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses and hams etc, simple but all really fresh produce.
The location was ideal, a 2 minute walk in either direction gets you to key water bus stops and the accademia bridge is also only a 2 min walk taking you straight into the district of San Marco.
Dorsoduro definitely worth a stroll, there is a long waterfront promenade with lots of cafes and restaurants and if you venture through the centre and the little alleyways of Dorsoduro you will discover some reasonably priced restaurants.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years and are delighted that the welcome and service received remains at the very highest level. Our room this Spring had clearly been refurbished to a high standard. As in previous years the hotel is kept spotlessly clean. The staff look after everyone so well, nothing seems too much trouble! The buffet breakfast provides a large choice of breads, fruit, cereals cold meat and cheese, with a selection of cooked items as extras. The location close to the Accademia Vaporetto stop could not be bettered. There is a lovely little roof terrace on the 4th floor which is great pm.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front enjoy the sound of people walking past (which we like), rooms at the back look out over gardens
