We stayed at the Palazzo Priuli for four nights. The hotel is situated in a building that was constructed 600 years ago. There is a lot of quirkiness to this place including uneven stairs and floors; however, this added to the charm of staying on the junction of two canals! Just looking out the window watching gondolas go past was a highlight in itself.
The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was recently renovated and wonderful. The supplied breakfast was plenty for any travellers needs. They also provide snacks in the afternoon for their guests. The hotel is located approximately 300m from the San Marco Water Bus wharfs as well as San Marco square. There are plenty of dinner options in close proximity (watch for the Service charge that many ristorantes include in the final bill).
The reception staff were all very polite, helpful and friendly. Our only issue was with one of the porters, he honestly looked liked he didn't enjoy his work whether it was delivering ice to our room or assisting with our bags.
Overall, with the exceptional location, friendliness of the reception staff, if we return to Venice, we will definitely stay at this hotel.More
