Absolutely amazing location, could not have asked for better! Right near a supermarket and not even a ten minute walk to the main square. Really nice staff and the place was always clean. Loved the set up, was like two separate apartments but we could use either side. The kitchen was really good, and had all we needed to make dinner. The wifi was okay, better in the kitchen. Definitely keep the windows closed at night (someone didn't on our last night) but they do have a fan (which is a bit loud..). Could benefit from air con but we both still slept well. The showers were good and clean, just an a bit weird with the temperatures sometimes. If I was coming back to Venice I would definitely stay here again - great value for the location and we both really enjoyed our stay!

A nice place to stay, hospitable staff, clean bathrooms and linen.
Were provided with blankets upon request.
The owner gave us a map with tips regarding places for visit.
There are no lockers or bedside tables.
7 min to San Marco on foot.

Fairly cheap for Venice but still a little on the pricey side!
Nice enough hosts. Hostel is quite difficult to find so definitely look up instructions first and take a map.
Kitchens were small but provided the essentials.
Only one bathroom per floor which is definitely not enough.
Very very hot and only an old fan to keep you cool. Sheets were clean, but there were bugs on the floors and beds.

The hostel was dirty, the showers were somewhere between Mordor and Pluto in temperature, and the owner was rude.
It's safe to say I didn't have a great experience in this hostel. We received little to no information about our stay and it was relatively difficult to find.
The bedding that we received was thick and uncomfortable for the July weather.
I would not stay there again, not would i recommend anyone to.

Well all I can say about staying here is that it was an experience. When we showed up the owner, a man named Amran, greeted us. He's quite a funny guy, lots of banter but I can understand why people think he comes off a bit rude...

However he was very helpful and provided us with a map which he marked up to show all the best locations to go, route round the city, places to eat etc and warned us about a few things such as to make sure to ask about service/cover charges in restaurants.

Then we had to walk up to the fourth of fifth floor with our bags (there's no lift), we stayed in the 8 bed dorm. There's a small living area with a kitchen (but it looks like if you tried to use the oven it may spontaneously catch fire, which would be bad as it's between the bedroom and the stairs which are the only exit...)

The room is... barren. There are 3 bunk beds and two singles, which have bed sheets and pillows but no sheets to actually sleep under. When we asked if there were some we could use the word for word response we got was "What, you no bring Girlfriend to keep you warm? Ah well, maybe you gay then, you can keep each other warm" and he walked off laughing.

There is also no where to lock or secure your bags/valuables. And the door to the room isn't exactly easy to lock.

Thankfully I was last in the shower the first day we got up, we hadn't considered that the boiler was malfunctioning so the first 3 of our party had to have basically ice showers. Thankfully we managed to figure out it just needs re-set now and again.

It is very expensive for what you get, we stayed in one of the nicest hostels I've ever been in in Milan for the same price per night. But I suppose it is right in the middle of Venice meaning you don't really need to take any public transport to get around, which is expensive.

Room Tip: Don't get your hopes up...
