“Excellent oasis away from the crowds”

Very cozy one bedroom with pull out queen sofa only 3 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and the ferry stop. On the street is a super market and a casual cafe for breakfast or lunch The location allowed us to come back and have lunch and take a break after sightseeing It also has a private outdoor yard where we sat at night and relaxed prior to going to sleep. We were met at the ferry stop and taken to the apartment I recommend this location we had an amazing time in Venice

“Perfetto!”

Ideal location - centrally located, but far from the madding crowds! Charming, cozy, and well equipped, with a delightful inner courtyard. We spent nine enjoyable nights in this home away from home. A quick walk from the San Angelo vaporetto stop; four doors down from a great grocery store; easily within walking distance of major sights. We were met by Sylvia who was very helpful, and met the owner, Valentina, who provided us with excellent recommendations which allowed us to enjoy local life. We were, in a word, delighted with everything this accommodation offered

“All Round Good Value”

We were met by the beautiful Sylvia at the San Angelo grand canal stop and escorted to the property where all aspects of the property were explained. 4min walk ,but had to negotiate 2 sets of stairs over mini canals and lift suitcases. You can get a porter if you want.
The property downstairs up stairs was very very good.Space is a premium in Venice but this was a little haven away from the crowds when you were tired after walking.
Bed was good ,kitchen adequate, supermarket 3 houses down street, shutters on windows to lock out street noise, clean and tidy and exclusive use of little courtyard to relax in.
10-15 min walk to San Marco square 3-4 mins to squares with restaurants. Classical music concerts 5 min walk away .Vivaldi and Bach every alternate night.

“Quiet respite from the summer crowds”
Reviewed 20 August 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Getting in to Venice by car can feel overwhelming; garages side by side and lots of pedestrians dragging luggage and then making sure you get on the correct vaporetto and get off on the correct stop...the good news is that the service for this apartment started before I got there. IF you are driving in Italy, do yourself a favor and get a cheap local cellphone; the owner of this Venice apartment has two lovely girls working for her and they are both excellent at customer service!!! I called as I was driving in to Venice and Erica told me which vaporetto to take and she was also waiting for us as we got off so that we could follow her to the apartment (very helpful because, at first, you can't imagine that you'll ever understand how to find anything). She gave us a map and even gave recommendations to a few local restaurants that she frequents. The next night, I had trouble with the washing machine and, at 9:30 pm, called Camila with a question about it. Well she showed up 20 minutes later and fixed it (I had to press a different button)!! She was all smiles and I felt so bad and she said that it was no problem at all...wonderful service at Ca'Dolcetta.
The apartment is super cute - the longer you stay, the bigger it feels ha ha! My teenage kids thought is was adorable so that says a lot. The location is super, super quiet but is only about 8-10 minutes from Piazza San Marco and maybe 3 minutes from Ponte Rialto (opposite directions). It was so refreshing to be staying away from the summer tourist crowds; when Venice felt too busy, we would head back "home" and relax instead of being stuck in a single hotel room. The a/c was adequate for the intense heat wave that we got. There is a great supermarket just down the small street (perfect for forgotten toiletries or snacks or fruits or some delicious ready made items); there is also a cinema and a fantastic café with free wifi!!! Yet, I promise, it is very quiet because it is a neighborhood. The wifi in the apartment, to be honest, does not work. Even when it was working, things would take FOREVER to load or wouldn't load at all. This is why the café, which is large enough to serve food and is never crowded, became our 2nd home. 3 coffees were only 6 Euros and the service was so nice; one of the waiters even got me get local contact info to help me with a broken Murano lamp back home!!! When it was way to hot to be out, we would come back here and enjoy the a/c and have a delightful snack (the Movie Bistro & WiFi Café).
I would definitely stay here again.

Apartment was just great! Clean and well equipped with everything you would need. Private patio area for morning coffee, a bonus!
Erica was lovely, friendly and helpful. We couldn't get the wi-fi to connect during our short stay, but other than that, perfect.
