We just returned home after a 3 night break in Venice.
We stayed at this fabulous little hideaway in the Cannaregio area, just 5 mins walk from the Vaporetto and the Airport water taxis.
Maria our host was a lovely lady who was friendly chatty and fun ( she didn’t speak any English , nor we any Italian ) but we managed to communicate perfectly.
Our room was spotlessly clean , warm with added aircon , tv , beautiful linens , fresh towels every day .
Our breakfast was brought up to our room by Maria every morning with a jug of the most delicious hot chocolate that I have ever tasted !
It is ideally situated , peaceful at night , just over the canal bridge into the main sites , 5 mins walk to S. Marcuola vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal , No 1 takes you the whole length of the canal under the Rialto Bridge , get off at any stop , St Marks is a must see.
Would I stay at Alloggi Sardegna again ? Most definitely , it was the perfect spot , a perfect place to sleep , easy to travel to and from , great host , super surroundings with many eateries at a less inflated price than in the centre of Venice, and we could leave our luggage all day here to collect that evening when travelling back home .
