On the plus side it is immaculately clean. Towels and bath mats changed daily. Maria has limited English and we had very little Italian but she was good at getting us to understand not to sit in St marks square for coffee as it was expensive lol. The heating went in the last 2 days we were there. There is a bakers a few yards up the 'alley' and a newsagents on the corner and a wine/ olive oil shop on the other. Off the beaten track mostly locals so really pretty abd unspoilt by tourism. Lots of little bars, an ice cream place and eateries very close. Wifi is free in your room the card by the bed gives you the password. Bad points no tea making facilities in the room. We were cold at night no extra blankets in the room. It was also noisy at night from the bars emptying and this is also a family home. Perhaps one of the worst things is you have to be back by 11pm so the doors could get locked. We panicked walking back incase we got lost but also people eat quite late and we were clock watching every evening. Breakfast is all pre packed 2 croissants, 2 packs of Melba toast, sometimes yoghurt, some jams and a butter, stick to coffee or hot chocolate tea is a disaster everywhere. It was however all that aside a great base, easy to get to the rialto bridge or st marks even walking there was easy. Busses close by. But walk different ways everyday to find new things. Fantastic area and like I said you get what you pay for. Don't forget €3 per person per night room tax collected on your last day in cash.

On arrival at the Alloggi Sardegna we were greeted by the owner Maria, she was a lovely lady who didn't speak English, but we got through to each other. The rooms were adequate for what we required and in a perfect location. Breakfast was delivered to your room in a morning which was enough to start the day, continental breakfast only. Venice was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed seeing all the sights. I would definitely pay for the skip the line into Doges Palace and other venues, it was very busy and we visited out of season. At the end of the stay there is a 3 euro charge per person, per day, some tax payment, which wasn't mentioned in the brochure. This hotel is comfortable and in an ideal place, i would stay here again without a doubt.

Very nice room but unable to use air con. Not a brilliant shower but adequate. Breakfast was room service and was good quality. It was well located for all amenities and tourist attractions. Furthest point in Venice 25-30 minutes walk. No English spoken by the owners but did not detract from our experience. The lady that ran the place was lovely.

Stayed one night here and had a good time. Location is slightly off from the train station or the main sites, but in exchange, you get some peace from the bustling city. The host spoke little (and almost no) english, but did try her very best to communicate with us, and imparting us with important information. She has also kindly allowed us to store the luggage till late. Breakfast was sent to the room, however, most of the products are pre-packaged (prepacked croissant, toast / biscuits). The only fresh thing was the cup of coffee (which was quite decent). Would be better if the breakfast was fresh.

Note that there are no lift, so you may have to carry your luggage up the stairs. There is also no clear reception counter, when you reach, press the doorbell and the host will attend to you.

Didnt know what to expect initially, but we love it at first sight. Within walk-able location to everywhere in Venice, we did not once take the ACTV. we only took the ferry to Burano once and thats it. Clean, nice, perfect hotel to visit venice.
