The phrase home from home is frequently over used but this place, tucked away in a quiet residential area, is the real deal. I can't recommend this lovely, quaint B & B enough. First and foremost, Stella is a fantastic and welcoming host who can offer excellent advice on what to see and do and the best places to eat in town. Not to mention her brilliant knowledge of all things Italian! Rooms are very homely and spotlessly clean as are the shower facilities. It's a short walk to the train station and a pleasant 15 minute walk into the centre of town. Breakfast is healthy and filling and the service throughout is first class. Would definitely stay there again on another visit to the beautiful city of Verona.

Thanks Steve, thank you very much for your beautiful words and your kindness.
I was really happy to meet you and to share our house with you. I really enjoyed our morning conversations but much more happy I am knowing that you enjoyed it too!

I wish you all the best and hope to see you soon again!

My kindest regards
Stella

It was our first bed and breakfast and Stella did everything to make us feel confortable, she gave us a map of verona and show as the turistic points and places to have a good meal! Everything you need it is just there, shampoo, confortable beds, and it is absolutly clean and nice decoration! Thank you stella we will miss you!! Nair and Paul

Location is ok - not in the absolute city centre but also not too far away (10-15 walking both to the centre or railway station). Design of the room we stayed in was really lovely, especially nice was a shining green apple on the balcony (yes, there is a balcony serving as a perfect place for an evening bottle of wine). Various colourful details have been paid lot of attention - e.g. il ghiro is a dormouse in Italian and so you can find a children's storybook with cute animal cartoons on the table. For 70 euros/night it's a perfect deal.

The place is sooooo nice, clean and not expensive. Franca is so nice and we arrive late at night and she waited for us. I wish we stayed more and it is highly recomended. The breakfast was excellent a real suprice Franca thought of every details and so many thing. It is a b&b that fell like a 5* hotel and even better because it is quiet.

We stayed at Stella's and Francesco's wonderful B&B in July 2015.
The 2 rooms and bathroom were very clean.
We loved the arty vintage design a lot!
Moreover Stella's attention for subtile details such as providing cooled sparkling water in the rooms is just great.
Additionally, Il Ghiro is located in a quiet neighbourhoud and is really only a 15 mins walk away from the city center.
And last but not least, Stella's hospitality is SUPER! The enthousiasm Stella shows while explaining where to find the best gelateria's, restaurants, etc. is really fantastic!!
Bottom-line: a great B&B to discover the wonderful City of Verona
Kind regards from Nico, Karin, Michael, and Stef
