Old building but nice rooms. Located on busy tourist street and lots of restaurants next door.
being old, rooms are musty smelling but you forget about it after a few minutes.
Breakfast was pretty descent, however typical watery powdered eggs and half cooked bacon in grease.

We reserved a superior deluxe room, and we were promised by the hotel via email to have a room with a balcony overlooking the internal courtyard. Per the website the room is supposed to be approximately 24 m² the room that we’ve been given is in fact, in an annex building is less than 14 m² and has a balcony overlooking trash and a construction site. There is a slight smell of sewage and dirt in all of the corners and the floor in front of the balcony door. The beds are very lumpy and uncomfortable and appear to be very used. The pictures presented on the website are entirely different. As a sidenote, there are no people available to help with luggage and there is a series of steps required to get to our room. Note, I don’t seem to be able to upload the picture of the trash and construction side. The Wi-Fi doesn’t appear to be working very well.

Room tip: The hotel is in the limited traffic area, so you might have to take your luggage for half a mile or so.

This is a beautiful building. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast can be included and is good. The location is great. We were a family of 10 and enjoyed our stay. There are refrigerators in the rooms.
The restaurant on the top floor is very good and has a great view.

My rating is more 4.5. Centrally located, easy walk to restaurants and major sites. I’m not sure why there are so many negative comments about the staff; honestly, all of our interactions were fantastic. Front desk staff helpful and knew our room number. We interacted with various front desk staffs frequently. It was nice to drop off our adorable 5 lb key at the front desk! . Breakfast was generous and abundant. It is in the most gorgeous dining area I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I indulged in some scrambled eggs and bacon; a welcome addition after days of continental bfasts. I had been sick and took a tray to the room to eat for 3 days, not wanting to get other travelers I’ll. Every morning, lovely Inacia, one of the staff members, efficiently put a tray together for me with a smile. The staff worked hard to restock the food and cups/plates. Barbara was our floor maid and always pleasant, had a smile, and helpful. Our TV’s did not work and each maintenance person was helpful and hilarious. It turns out when you do get the tv on, there’s only bbc! But we are not there to watch tv. The hotel is a former palazzo and it is somewhat of a maze, but that’s part of the Italian adventure. It’s a gorgeous hotel and may not be the most updated, but we found it quiet, comfortable, and unobtrusive. Umbrellas available at the front desk for rainy days. We ate at primi piatti across the street but would have tried the hotel restaurant had we another day and I was not under the weather. Bravo to the Eurostar Team- you made our Palermo trip special!

Room tip: Watch out for mosquitos if you open your windows. Which we liked to do!

This is a very dated hotel in need of modernisation. Bathroom stank of stale urine and had mould encrusted in the grouting, bedroom did not smell much better. Getting there by car was a total and utter nightmare. If you’re brave / crazy enough to try it then make sure the hotel tell you exactly which side to approach from and be ready to drive through the pedestrianised area - GPS will not get you there! We have driven in cities all over the world and this was by far the most stressful driving we have ever experienced. You need to book a spot in the hotel car park in advance and be warned it’s down a really tiny street - we were in a fiat panda and it was tight.
The only positives about this place were the staff who were friendly and lovely, the fact that our room was quiet and the location being great to walk around the historic centre

Room tip: Book parking ahead, be sure to get precise directions and make sure you are feeling brave
