The building is well located, near to the hystorical part of Palermo and also walking distance to the modern part. It is just off the main and busy road of via Roma but still right in the tourist area.
You can reach everything within half an hour walk or take any of the buses going through via Roma.
There are food stores within 5 minutes walk but I highly-higly recommend the restaurant (Tondo) opposite with the hotel, it's fantastic.
Hotel Joli offers typical Italian breakfast and is operated by really helpful and supportive staff. I felt cared about and could not ask anything they would not have sorted out. It's such a delight to befriend all these people within couple of days only. Grezie mille! 🙏🙂
For your rest and sleep, do bring earplugs (some music or noises can disturbing late at night) and I could have done with something against mosquitos even in April.
It is a very good spot to start exploring nice places and villages close to Palermo as there are trains leaving towards the airport and also towards Cefalú and onwards. More
