We stayed at this hotel twice - for two days at the beginning of our tour, and for a day at the end of our tour. Both rooms were quite different, and had their own plusses and minuses, but both were very comfortable with excellent beds, pillows and bedding. The location is indeed central, but quite far from the airport (at least 30 minutes) and a few blocks from the bulk of cafes and shopping that you might expect in a touristy area.
Our fiirst stay had two full beds, nice carpetting, comfortable temperature control, very good bathroom with a small shower unit, bidet, shelf, standing sink, pump toiletries with lots of towels. Our second stay had smaller single beds, a bathroom with a tub and shower - with handheld attached to the side wall so hard to use without water on the floor - and a small balcony.. Both times the view was to a side street. We liked the coffee-making option in the room, carpeting on the floor and good lighting..though there was a small desk, we liked the glass shelving on the walls to keep our stuff organized. On our first stay we had a good luggage rack, two chairs, an in-room safe and windows that could open for ventilation. Rooms have a TV, but we could find only the BBC that was an English channel.
The front desk was very helpful and friendly with maps and directions plus sending someone quickly to replace the batteries on the safe that wasn't working. The elevators were smallish, but very efficient. Breakfast, that was included, was excellent with the usual fare, but lots of delicious sweets, fresh fruit, meats, eggs, juices, excellent croissants and other breads. There was even a tray of cannolis that you coudl fill yourself with delicious cheese filling. Everything was clean and food was replenished quickly. One lovely gal made the hot drinks of your choice, and even with many on our tour, there was hardly ever a lineup.
There is a bar that has finger food available (bruscetta, etc.), but we found the drinks very expensive. As well, hot meals are served,- we saw them brought to the lounge area by the bar, not served in the restaurant.
