We stayed for a week in August bed, breakfast and evening meal and had a great stay. The hotel, staff and the food was very good with a good selection for the breakfast and a varied choice of menu on an evening. The staff especially Marco and Daniella were very friendly and helped us with learning a little basic Italian and gave us great advice on where to shop to furnish and get provisions for our new Villa that we had just bought! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made our stay an enjoyable and relaxed experience! The only reason that I did not give a 5 star rating is that although the bedrooms are very well kept and clean they are a little dated and tired compared to the rest of the Hotel.

When I visited Sicily back in 1969 the Jolly hotels were top of the bill. Apparently they could not maintain this level.
As other visitors already remarked: everything (except the bar and restaurant area) is worn down and in dire need of maintenance. The same holds true for the room, in particular the bathroom which miserably failed my maintenance test: take a look at the door and the lowest part of the door posts: if they look dirty and devoid of paint this evidences a serious lack of care.
In addition: the breakfast was awful, the bread was probably baked in the Archimedes period and everything else was tasteless. Service indifferent. Why are waiters more busy with clearing tables than with serving clients?

The temperature regulation is not working, the toilets are very dirty (if they even work on the ground floor), the lunch served for congresses is very dissappointing (maybe the dinners are ok, didn't dare to try). The staff behind they bar is friendly and welcoming, but the rest hadn't given any smile for 4 days.
Chairs in the venue are old and sitting on them is a hell for a day.
Gettinginto contact is a drama too, website didn't work for contact, when I called they did not speak english, and emailing never gives any reaction (tried for almost 2 months to book a room). Wifi did not work for 2 days 9for a business trip that is bad)
Not worth any of the money.
They could make a much better hotel of this...

Our room was fine, on the main road but we weren't bothered by noise. Breakfast fine if a little boring. Eat at the nearby Osteria Re Pitittedi on a side-street a little further up the Corso Gelone on the other side.
Staff really helpful and friendly
