My husband, son & daughter (ages 18 & 16) stayed here for only 1 night although I wish it was longer. It was an affordable option for everyone to have their own room. We drove & parked at the Catania parking garage. If you are new to the area, it is best to call and get explicit directions from Giampiero as we tried to go it alone & use gps to find & ended up wandering around with our backpacks for way too long. We finally gave up & called and Giampiero came to our rescue. The place was bright and sparkling clean. Views from the deck were outstanding. Once he showed us how to go out through the back gate it was easy to get to town and find our way back. There are quite a few steps involved so it is not for the infirm (or in my son's case, lazy) but it is a pretty quick walk to downtown and you have the benefit of it being quieter for sleeping. We would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. Another tip is there is an excellent cannoli place at the bottom of the steps specializing in pistachio cream. I know locals don't eat cannoli sin summer but these were are first and best. My husband and I got up early the next day to maximize our time and had the town to ourselves minus the street sweepers. Great photo options.
Spacious apartment with a great view, close to a grocery store and a short walk to the main centre of Taormina. Perhaps don't do like we did and walk to the apartment from the bus station with a lot of luggage. The route looks easy but it is a decent climb. Certainly would recommend staying here for the view and local attractions

The apartment is very spacious and well equipped and Giampiero provided us with a very warm welcome, responding to queries promptly. Giampiero advised us re trips to Etna and assisted us with booking a taxi to the bus station (€15, could walk there in approx 15 mins, which we did for day trips) and printing off our boarding tickets.
The apartment is in a great location, but if you have mobility difficulties there are steps down to the town which is only 5 minutes away.
There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, but we managed with the fans.
Whilst there is some traffic noise from the roads below, this did not detract from the beautiful setting and we enjoyed spending time and eating meals on the balcony.
We would go back there again, any time. The apartment was really well equipped and only a short walk from the town centre. The views of the coast and Mount Etna were superb. The owner was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended
My friends and I stayed in Casa Geleng for 3 nights. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. The apartment only has one air conditioner in the dining room. Luckily for us it wasn't too hot, I can't imagine staying in the apartment during the summertime. The air conditioner in the dining room will not cool down the bedrooms. This is a no frills apartment, a bit dated but it gives you the basic essentials for the price you are paying. My only issue was the water from the shower, it was either extremely hot or cold. Giampero was a wonderful host, he showed us how to walk to town from the apartment. He also lives on the first floor so it is easy to contact him for any needs. The best thing about the apartment was the balcony, it provided a perfect view of Mt Etna.
