Nice surroundings. Our room was big, with a comfortable bed and a modern and spacious bathroom. As it was in ground floor, it had a semi private terrace, in which we watched the sunset.
Big swimming pool (not in use at the moment of our stay, as it was not the summer season).
Good breakfast.

I take a womens group to Italy every year and this year we had the pleasure to stay at the Borgo il Melone for 2 days . Where to begin... The hotel was remarkable, clean, large rooms, and beautiful grounds. I had the pleasure to meet with Vincenzo who was so very helpful to all our needs and questions. He made sure that everything went smooth for this experience in Cortona. The restaurant Borgo il melone Osteria was run by Massimo and Laura, and they were so very gracious and made our dining an experience we won't forget. I would highly recomend this hotel as it is close to the train station so that you can take day trips to other areas of the Tuscany region... I will definitly be back. Enjoy your stay, and thank you to Vincenzo and his staff.

Room Tip: all the rooms were exceptional as our group had diffent rooms in different quarters of the hotel and...

The hotel was lovely, in a beautiful setting, it was clean and very looked after. All the staff were welcoming polite and professional. Small point was the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that's going on. In November not so much of a problem maybe as there are fewer guests but in July could be a problem.

We travelled with 3 other couples and everything was perfect. The accommodations were as described, charming with modern bathroom/shower. The setting is lovely with fruit trees and landscaping, taverna for breakfast, gorgeous pool with many outdoor places to sit and relax and the city of Cortona towering in the distance. The restaurant, while not owned by the hotel, is fabulous. The staff helped us to organize a winery tour which was a highlight of our trip. I'll still give it a 5 rating but two minor complaints...we asked for glasses to drink a bottle of wine that we purchased at a local winery that day and were refused. They would only give us glasses if the wine was purchased at the hotel. It seemed silly when the hotel is sitting in the middle of wine country, unacceptable. Also, there was no phone or internet access for the hotel for 4 days so they could not arrange rides or anything for us unless we used our own cell phone. Oh well... We would stay again for sure!

Room Tip: The suite style rooms in the adjacent building were pretty and very quiet.

We had four nights here at the beginning of October. Beautiful and so relaxing. Four of us booked a two bedroom suite. On arrival the layout meant that we would have to walk through the other couples bedroom to reach the bathroom which wasn't ideal. It was more suitable for a couple with children. We asked at reception to be moved and it wasn't a problem at all, they were most helpful. We got to keep the apartment and another double room was given to the other couple. We were more than satisfied. The place is beautiful and I would definitely be visiting again. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one!
