Lovely setting overlooking the Piazza. Pleasant decor. Always busy with masses of tourists.
At a very early dinner hour of 5:30, there were not many seated, but our party of three waited at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged and then waited to be seated. Another 10 minutes to get menus. Another 20 minutes for the order to be taken. Ten more for the wine. Another 25 for the pizzas to be served cold. The salads were never served. At least 15 minutes for the bill to arrive and 15 minutes more to pay, so we all went to the door, where staff immediately appeared. The bill included a 2E each cover charge, which we refused to pay since we received nothing for it and the service was slow. In Italian the waiter said to a colleague that I was being difficult, and I replied in English that we were only asking to pay for the meal and that the service had been far too slow, to which the others agreed. We paid without the cover and left.
