The main plus is that it is very close to the train station and to where most of the tours meet.
The hotel is old... and seems to be a prime business hotel. There were several conferences there while we stayed there.
Our room was basic.... and roomy. However, the 2 windows in our room... while they opened... we could not see outside. This for me is a big thumbs down. I like to see what the morning looks like when I wake up so I felt blind every morning until we walked outside.
The bed was rock hard and I think it was from the same era as when the David was sculpted.
The service was so-so. Not great, Not bad. They did their job but it seemed like we were putting them out by staying there. Up until the point where a piece of our laundry was mixed with another person's and then they were all over it to fix the problem. So, that was good. Thankfully.
However, if we are in Florence again... I wouldn't pick here to stay.More
