Well located, only a few minutes down the hill to the city centre and plenty of trattoria and mini-markets nearby. Rooms are very basic and unwelcoming and cold and bare. Breakfast is not worth getting up for and unless you get there spot on for 7:30 then you won't get a seat or any breakfast (bread). Booked for 3 nights, stayed for 2 - wont be going back. Staff seemed friendly enough.

This is a nice, small hotel very near to the center of Florence. About 15 min by foot to many of the main attractions in town.
The hotel itself is very quiet and clean, but don’t expect anything fancy here. Nonetheless it is very charming and the staff is very helpful.

The hotel is in an old building with an interesting history. Very high ceilings. Right next to Boboli gardens. Near lots of places to eat. Fairly basic hotel. The room was fairly minimal. No kettle for making hot drinks like most modern European hotels. Beds pretty stark with no duvet and thin pillows. No comfy chairs to sit on. Tiny ensuite which was functional but the shower was nearly over the toilet. There were pigeons nesting outdoor the room and building work going on at night in the courtyard downstairs. A good selection at breakfast, lots of bread, cakes, yoghurts etc. Black coffee tasted like instant coffee but you could get a cappuccino. Tables so close together a normal sized person couldn't even sit down if breakfasts was full. Friendly staff. Clean room. Free wifi. Tv. Hairdryer.

We went here at the end of January, unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the hotel. The entrance hall is very basic as the ground floor is apartments owned privately. You walk up a few flights of stairs where you will arrive at the reception. The staff were friendly and helpful but the room was basic with a TV but no English channels, not even a news channel. The hotel is probably very typical of Italy in the 60's no quilt on the bed and only one pillow. The hotel is in a good location about 5 minutes walk from Pitti Palace.

Florence is beautiful and I highly recommend when you visit that you go to the Boboli Gardens which is situated opposite this hotel. The day that we went it was raining but it was still very enjoyable. There were very few people so our photos don't have anyone else in them. IDEAL. I would also recommend taking the hop on hop off bus which takes you all round the city, you then have a chance to get off whenever you want to look at the different sites. The view at the top of the hill is a must as there are spectacular views of Florence.

The restaurants are good and we did not have a bad meal in 3 days. There is a very nice one not far from the hotel but I am not sure of its name but well worth a visit if only for a drink.

We stayed exactly a week in this lovely hotel. We got a room with a balcony that looked out to the garden. The rooms, as is the hotel, are in a style as if you walked back in time when this Palazzo was still owned by his original owners. For those who are not easy on foot, there are three stairs you have to walk before you are in the hotel itself. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good, a big choice of sweet pastries and two choices of eggs, rounded off by cheese, sausage, marmalade, Nutella, cerials, yogurt and fresh fruits. Our room was impressive with a ceiling up to 6 meters and also big enough. Was there something that was not so good, pity enough, yes, the internet is very very slow if there is a connection at all. In 2017 you might expect a bit better, but we still managed to post a few pictures. As it is placed on the south side of the Arno, you find lots of nice little restaurants that are much cheaper then on the north side. We had a happy week and would recommend it to everyone, but think about the stairs and the internet. Fotos from the lobby.
