Friendly staff with good english and turist tips for the city. Fresh and clean in the room could be softer beds.

Walking distant from everything in Florens..
Some diffulties to find the door to the hotel. Looked like every other door at the street exept one small sign with the name on. but with some help from someone on the street you will find it

Dear FeliciaJ,
thanks for your review, we wish our trips could let you enjoy the true florentine taste&feelings.
Also thank you for stressing this important fact, we are located in an Historical building, made on 17th-18th Century and we are located at the first floor: our Hotel sign is made in stone to respect this florentine building's style,we know it may be unusual if you look for a standard hotel sign that you can see verywhere.
We send you our best greetings from Florence!

A very, very nice 3 star hotel in the centre of Florence.

We've stayed in many different hotels in Florence before, but I've never felt any great enough to write a review.

This time was different - this hotel is AWESOME, especially for the money spent.

At first, driving to the hotel, I was really sceptical as the street almost looked dodgy, but closer to the hotel, we were more relaxed. The hotel entrance is not on the street - it's behind a big wooden door, up to the 1st floor.

Rooms were tastefully decorated, and service with a HUGE SMILE.

Will definitely stay here again - we and our friends LOVED it!!!!!

Awesome place for a great price.

Room Tip: Great, central hotel.

The location is great in that it is on a fairly quiet street out of the main tourist swarm, but still close (walking distance) to everything. The room was newly renovated and looked nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a breakfast buffet with free coffee/cappuccino and freshly cooked eggs on request. On the day that we left there was a race, and the hotel staff was on the phone for half an hour going out of their way to secure us a taxi. Late at night the hotel was quiet.

We did have some complaints unfortunately. The bed, while very large, was quite possibly the hardest thing we have ever slept in, it was similar to sleeping on the floor. The hotel is actually on the 2nd floor of what appears to be a residential building, and the entry was dark and empty. There was a musty smell in the room, and the ceiling was dripping from one location, as well as a location in the hall.

The AC did not work in our room due to some setting that was inadvertently set incorrectly in the computer system, which was remedied when we realized it was not working, however in doing so the lighting system inadvertently became broken and it was impossible to shut off the lights, and as we discovered the phone is just for show (we could only call the main desk), we could not call for help, as after 9pm there is no staff at all in the hotel and that was a little unnerving. We had to shut off the circuit breakers to go to sleep that night.

Florence is a very expensive place to stay, so despite these issues, it is a great value for an excellent 3 star hotel.

Breakfast was descend and the cappuccino in the morning delicious. The location of the hotel is approx. 5 minutes walk from the city centre.
