When I read that there was a view of Brunelleschi’s Dome, I assumed that the windows would overlook a noisy street with late-night partiers. I was wrong. The street in front is busy, but the rooms are in the back of the building and very, very, quiet. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good, the hosts were charming and helpful, and the elevator was cute. (I was thankful for it.) The location is superb, right in the middle of the historic district. I'm glad we stayed there.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have view.

Clean, functional, all you need for is provided. What is extra is the warmth of welcome and visit from the owners which you wont find in many places. Prepared to help us with whatever we wanted, it was a pleasure to stay in their hotel. Fantastic location - quiet yet within 5 minutes of the Duomo and all the sights in Florence. Restaurants within 2 minutes walk - all decent quality and variety. A great find and somewhere we would willingly revisit in visiting Florence.

You reach the hotel via a small elevator. The hotel is not elaborate but is perfectly functional with adequate sized and very clean rooms Our room had a fine view of the Duomo. The restaurant recommendations of the proprietors were very good. The breakfast was fine.

Room Tip: Some rooms have excellent views, but I doubt if there is a bad room.

I gave this five stars because my great uncle Leonard stays here and has stayed here every time he visits Venice, which is often. He is 80 years old this year and he is just as comfortable at this hotel (thanks to the location, mostly the owners making him feel like family) as he is at his home in NYC. I went to the hotel to meet my uncle and the owners who were very very nice. The building is old and very cool with a small elevator to lift you to the door of the hotel. It isn't The Four Seasons, but it's cozy with a dome view of the Duomo from some rooms. A very reasonable price for the location which is in close walking distance to the Duomo and just across from the Galeria da Academia.

This is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the tourist district of Florence. A tiny ancient elevator gets you up to the 2nd floor (3rd floor by US counting), where you meet the super friendly and helpful husband & wife that are your desk staff.

Don't expect a bellboy, or Miami Beach highrise here. What you get is a decent sized room, surprisingly quiet, with a view of the famous Duomo. Reasonable rates, and an easy walk to any part of downtown, and this is a hotel to use for any adventurous traveler.
