My girlfriend and I stayed in this lovely hotel for her birthday and they made her time in Florence amazing thanks to the hotel.
The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station and wasn't complicated to find at all. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who had perfect English. He offered us a complimentary drink which was lovely as we were both very warm due to the hot temperatures outside.

We were led up to our room which was absolutely incredible. We stayed in the junior suite and I completely recommend it for anyone wanting a luxurious stay for a cheap price. The room was topped off with prosecco, a bunch of beautiful flowers and a heart shape made out of rose petals on the bed. The room had everything we needed, including lots of space to lounge around and the high ceilings with the large windows made the room feel huge. A large array of toiletries were given to us, including slippers which unfortunately didn't fit my size 12 feet( I'll let them off)! The air conditioning in the room was perfect and it was just what we needed after a long day walking around the city.

The upstairs terrace was a lovely touch as the view was incredible, looking right along the Arno towards the main city.
The walk from the hotel to all the main tourist areas was very simple and it was lovely walking alongside the river. However, I would recommend going down side streets that run alongside the river as they are shaded and will keep you a lot cooler in the summer!

Breakfast was lovely and had a nice array of food, both hot and cold. I am quite a fussy eater but found plenty to eat here. Breakfast was also located in an amazing room with artwork on the ceiling and walls!

On our departure, we met two more receptionists and they all had perfect English just like the first on on day one. They also offered to take our luggage and store it in a locked room which meant we didn't have to cart it around the city.

Overall, it was an absolutely magnificent stay and I would 100% recommend the hotel for anyone. I wish my stay could have been for longer!

This hotel takes the best of a 19th century palazzo of an old Florentine family, blends it with the best of modern design and furnishings with style, and is managed supremely well by Andrea, Luca and Cosimo and their team to create an extremely comfortable and friendly small hotel. They could not have been more friendly and helpful and all their suggestions for restaurants (which included vegan options for our daughter) and outings proved to be huge successes. We had the most glorious room for three on the piano nobile overlooking the Arno, and the room was so beautiful and spacious the lack of communal space in the hotel mattered not, but if you want a hotel with a big bar and restaurant this may not be the place for you. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served in an equally grand room on the same floor. The hotel is very convenient for all sight seeing yet feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, and has a small secure parking within the hotel premises. When we return to Florence we will certainly stay here again. The only fault we could find with the hotel after two nights was that they changed our towels too often; arguably also the lack of a communal spaces but I do not share the view that the badge of excellence is reserved for only luxury hotels: this is a truly excellent hotel.

Room Tip: If you are a couple with one child, or three who don't mind sharing, ask for the beautiful room 11

We stayed here for 2 nights mid June. A stunning boutique hotel. Fantastic location, beautiful views, and lovely rooms. Amazing home made treats for breakfast. We left before breakfast on our second morning and they even provided a take out snacks (and remembered I was vegetarian). We will definitely visit again soon and hopefully stay a little longer.

This place was great...service, the room, the location and the value. Nothing like the bottle of prosecco to welcome you and the service included a skip-the-line for the Uffitzi Meseo no problem. Thanks!!

Room Tip: The WiFi was iffy...maybe not so good for biz travellers

I can only confer 4 stars, since this is not an Impressive luxury hotel, but it is certainly a fine place to stay. It's well-located, clean, friendly, and the staff is on its collective toes, offering service above and beyond most others. We had a room on the desk level, so for a view we went to the roof terrace, and enjoyed drinks and snacks. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of choices, including Italian and European treats. The beds were quite comfortable, and the towels were changed each day. The desk personnel were kind enough to offer restaurant suggestions, and to call them in for us. This is a fine place to stay.
