I did not mind the 91 steps needed to reach the apartment. This location is close to the important sites in Florence, and also close to many fine restaurants. The kitchen was well appointed, although we requested an American style coffee maker which was never delivered, we did just fine with the french press that was provided. There was no air conditioning available, but we were lucky that the weather was cooperating in June, so we were comfortable enough. The best part of the place was the rooftop terrace with the Duomo views. This was our morning coffee spot and our evening wine tasting spot. On the negative side, the owners should spend some time in making small fixes to door and drawer handles so they don't come off while opening, and ensure the shower doors are functioning well. This would be a sign of respect to their guests.

This is a wonderful, roomy,traditionally-styled apartment with three good-sized bedrooms, a huge lounge, two bathrooms and a dining kitchen. Best of all is the covered roof terrace with stunning views of the Duomo, Medici Chapel and Florence rooftops, right up to the surrounding hills. It is perfectly placed, just minutes from the train and bus station, with a supermarket round the corner and the Mercato Centrale just a short walk away - and surrounded by excellent bars and restaurants. The owners are charming and welcoming and extremely helpful.
Just a couple of things to bear in mind: it's on the third floor up a lot of stairs and no lift and the apartment itself is on three floors - not for those who aren't reasonably fit. Also, bear in mind that, in addition to the rental, there is a 100 Euro charge for cleaning and a charge for electricity and gas which will be upwards of 100 Euros for a week, especially if you use the aircon a lot (it was around 35C when we were there), and cook. There's also the tourist tax, which you have to pay everywhere.
When we're back in Florence we'll definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay & everything was as advertised. We were met by the owners son who was very nice, showed us everything & gave some suggestions on where to eat etc. Close to many restaurant's, cafes & a market just down the street.
The flat is on the 3rd/4th floor with no lift which was no problem for us. There is a lovely balcony with a great view of the Duomo. We liked the fact that the apartment is spread over 3 floors so there is plenty of room.
