Nice typical Marriott partner hotel. No free breakfast for our level of Marriott which was gold at the time. Small but comfortable room. Good bed nice bath. Small bar in lobby. Attentive hotel staff very helpful w recommendations kind of out of the way but the area had a decent amount of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Nice safe neighborhood. Good value for the price which was points for us.

The hotel is good, our room was big with a gorgeous bathroom and perfect water pressure. The bed was soooo comfortable.
Staff is helpful and professional.
Breakfast wasn't bad. Loved the cappuccino. Buffet of bacon & eggs, good selection of pastries, some cold cuts, cheeses, fresh cut fruit, cereal...I'm sure I've forgotten a few things here. But you get the idea.
The location wasn't the best. It's close enough, 20 minutes walk to the main train station Santa Maria Novella, but the people that hang around the street corners close to the hotel at night seem a little rough. We always seem to come back to the hotel after midnight.
But I'd still stay here again on my next trip.

Had a good experience with the staff here, they were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were small and decorated in a sparse style typical of a modern property (and this was after an upgrade). It is a good property in terms of arriving by car. It is just outside of the dreaded ZTL zone, and for me, that's a good location. You have to pay to park, €15 per night., but it is in a private garage underneath the building, and is competitively priced. Walking to the Piazza Della Repubblica was about a 30 minute walk for us, and was doable despite the hot weather. There is also the local C2 shuttle that will take you most of the way there for €1.20 per person. I thought that breakfast was overpriced for what we received at €15 per person and was middling in quality. For those in the USA who are familiar with Courtyard hotels, you can look at the AC as a more stylish European equivalent, with no free breakfast regardless of Marriott Rewards status.

We had to use Marriott points and this is the only option for this region. There are no perks or benefits for Marriott rewards members. No free breakfast, no executive lounge. Location isn't great but it is walkable for those coming from the train station and wanting to see the town. But it's a healthy walk, not around the corner. I would not rate this hotel as a category 7, more like a 3. The value isn't there. The staff is nice and accommodating, the property just isn't. If I wasn't using points, I would definitely look elsewhere.

Room tip: There is no view to be had. Top floor is likely the quietest

Dear Guest,
Thank you for sharing your experience with AC Hotel by Marriott. We are very sorry to hear that the stay at our property was unsatisfactory.
As you know, Marriott has very different brands in more than 3,800 hotels and some of the services and facilities are very different. With regard to special benefits for Elite Members, in AC Hotels breakfast is not included and unfortunately we do not have an Executive Lounge. Concerning the category, it actually comes from may factors as location, type of city and as well the number of the same chain hotel we have in town.
We do apologize if your stay did not meet your expectations. We really appreciate as well your positive feedback about our staff.
We remain at your disposal for any further information you may require, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely

Stayed for a night during a business trip and loved it!
-Staff were great, the bartender had some great suggestions and pointed out how to get there and what everything was.
-Breakfast was the only meal we had, but it was top notch. Good selection.
-Location is good, very close to all the action in downtown and easy walking distance to and from the train station

Would definately stay here again
