When we travel we like to try not just the food of the region, but good restaurants of all cuisines. We love Ethiopian food an were thrilled to find one in our trip to Florence. It is a bit out of the main tourist area but still walkable from most of the old city.

The restaurant is run by a mother and two daughters, and one of the daughters seated and waited on us. She was very warm and inviting. We needed no help with the menu as we know the dishes fairly well. We ordered the sambusas which were excellent, as well as the . Hot and spicy. For entrees we ordered the beef, chicken and vegetarian platters, and shared. The food was all delicious all around. We were warned about he spiec level but we found it quite moderate (but we like fiery foods!). The house wine was good, especially for the price.

Overall one of the nicer and more memorable meals from out week in Florence. Strongly recommended!

Great taste, friendly staff, clean place and a perfect diversion from the Italian kitchen.
Due to the lack of Tef in the Injera, the taste was really nice. One visit to remember. We will come back here for sure.

As a huge fan of Italian food I was rather surprised that we should visit an non-Italian restaurant in Florence. However we were in Italy for 8 days, this was very close to where we were staying (and the station) and we fancied trying something different.

A pleasant restaurant with good service. Although fairly central, it's quiet here and away from the crowds. The food was unusual (for us) and we enjoyed trying it. We were rather surprised that our two main meals came on a tray together (without plates. There was way too much for us, I was embarrassed by how much we were unable to eat!

Service was friendly and prompt and the food was excellent value for money.
