Great staff and very good accommodations. Good location. The room was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed the stay. The location worked out well for us as our tour was just a few blocks away. Good value for the money.

Stayed here for 3 night and it was very good. Big room, actually seemed more like an appartment, we also had a living/kitchenette. Cozy, clean and warm, wonderful breakfast and close to piazza al duomo. Across the street is a supermarket if you want to buy snacks or drinks. Close to santa maria novella station, 10 minutes walk. I would stay here again if go to florence.

We picked up this hotel as an optimal point considering mainly price/location. Relatively to it's great location, the price was OK. The hotel is located in the last 3 floors of the building. It has a small (2 people max), slow elevator.
The rooms are very plain as can be seen in the pictures.
What we like the most about it was:
1. The staff - sadly, I can't recall their names, but each and every one of the staff members were nice and helpful. My wife sprained her ankle on our first day of the visit, and they directed us to a nearby hospital. The let her seat in the upper floor of the dining room during breakfast, getting us taxis, and gave us the feeling that they care and trying to help.
2. Location - A walking distance to the Galleria, Piazza San Marco, Basilica Di San Lorenzo and of course the Duomo and the baptistery. Amazing location. There is also a fabulous restaurant just near the hotel entrance, the best food we had in Florence.
3. Breakfast was satisfying.

Good, central option for families.

This is a unique hotel with a great location. Less than 10 minutes from the train station and a 5-10 minute walk to Duomo and most of the other main attractions in Florence. There was a small mishap checking in, mostly due to poor signage. The hotel is located inside the entrance to the Leonardo Museum. That fact is not that clear from the street, creating confusion. When you do realize where the entrance is, it’s a decent number of flights of stairs to get to reception. There are two hotels in the same location. This hotel and Hotel Columbo. Reception is the same for both hotels, but again, that is not clear. We did see a sign saying that our hotel, the Florence Dome was on the 3rd floor, so we hauled all of our bags up to 3, only to discover we had to bring them back down to 2 to check in and have them held until formal check in started. So getting checked in was a very frustrating experience that could be easily solved with better signage. Once we were checked in, the experience was great! The room was decorated in a minimalist fashion (which we liked) and it was comfortable and large. The bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. There could have been more info in the room regarding the TV channels, costs of the items in the fridge and maybe an history of the hotel, but those aren’t necessities. Overall, i recommend this hotel for its great location, but be mindful of the trickiness in check in.
