We visited three cities and surrounding areas on our first trip to Italy...Venice, Florence and Rome. This was not only our favorite city, but our favorite accommodations! By a wide margin. It started with Susanna responding very quickly (within a few hours) to our request for our stay. She also was very helpful when I asked for help with booking several activities. Booking this apartment, we were wondering how being in a tower would actually be. It was such a unique and charming experience perfectly suited for such a setting in this city of such rich history. The pictures are wonderful, but once you actually see the space and really enjoy it you will love it. The amenities are all very high end. Every space is tastefully done and well equipped for travelers. There is a large window that over looks the square below that is so unique. Open it up and look and listen to the sounds below. Close it up and escape to a storybook setting for a master bedroom. Just fabulous.
The square itself is also very nice. Just steps from your very secure apartment you have an amazing fresh fruit and vegetable stand, many restaurants, a full service bank, and a grocery. If you want to bring things back to the apartment for a night in, you could get all the ingredients for a special night in this wonderful place. But why would you want to do that in Florence?
One of the best parts of renting this place was being greeted and helped by Giorgio. He showed us the entire apartment and then offered to help us navigate the city. He was so helpful and had such good connections, I would encourage you to do the same.
We truly had a wonderful family vacation and enjoyed this space. It added to the experience and I would return in a heartbeat!
A beautiful and spacious apartment in a medieval tower, yet modern and bright. It has an amazing atmosphere and great amenities. The location is perfect for walking to historical sites, as well as lovely markets, restaurants, and shops right at the doorstep. Perfect stay in a beautiful city!
This apartment is in walking distance to the Uffizi, the Bargello, Il Duomo, Santa Croce, the Chapel of the Magi in Palazzo Medici, Boboli Gardens, and the Palazzo Vecchio to name just a few of the museums Florence offers. Step outside the front door and you can buy milk across the street, fresh fruit and veggies from a stand in the piazza, and a little further up the street is a grocery store. In the piazza there are also multiple restaurants, and gelato is in no short supply!
The beds are extremely comfy, with fresh white sheets and towels. There's a washing machine and dryer, separate dining room, large living area, and even an office area that opens up to the square where the voices of Florence, and smells of cooking, waft up through the gorgeous ancient doors that overlook the piazza. I immediately took over this spot as my writing den.
In all honesty, I'd rather keep this hidden treasure to myself, because I know the apartment will get booked out quickly, and I want to go back again soon! Can't wait to get back to Florence and this wonderful apartment!
I booked this apartment for 12 nights for my travelling companion and myself. It's very comfortable and eell appointed. It's also in a great location with a walk to most things. We both enjoyed staying there ver much. My only criticism is that thete was no toaster or kettle.
Absolutely beautiful apartment combining raw historical walls with modern and comfortable interior. Thoroughly renovated and furnished with great design pieces. Everything high class and very clean.
Walking distance to the historical sights like Uffici, Duomo, Santa Croce, Ponte Veccio etc. lots of Restaurants and Bars around and supermarket as well close.
Appartement had everything you need and was just stunning.
We loved it!!!
